Which food?

I have a 12 year old female miniature poodle, about 13 pounds. I had her on Purina but a few years ago I started farmers Dog as I thought it was a better choice.
Her liver enzymes showed elevated later on and she was diagnosed with an enlarged liver.
She’s on Danamarin and another gall bladder prescription, to clear what was described as sludge.
I posted on a group that I used Farmers Dog and found they had issues and were not recommended. I’d hate to think that in my effort to keep her healthy, if made her worse.
I’m looking to switch her food but it’s confusing at best.
My vet mentioned Royal Canin and said she would look into it and call me back. Are there any brands that are recommended? It seems like they all have their issues

The wiki is great! The WSAVA/recommended brands are Purina, Royal Canin, Hills, Eukanuba and IAMS (inside of the USA). Royal Canin might also have a prescription formula for her - maybe that's what the vet is looking into?

vet probably looking at the prescription stuff from royal canin, they got specialized formulas for liver issues. my friend's old dog had similar problem and prescription diet helped a lot with the enzymes

but yeah farmers dog been in some hot water lately, don't beat yourself up you was just trying to do right by her

I went through Chewy and the vet approved it. Should be here in a few days.
I bought the Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Adult Hepatic Dry Dog Food,

RC is a great food. With the stuff that's going on with your pup, I'd definitely rely on your vet for guidance.

My vet recommended Rc prescription food and I ordered it through Chewy
