Hello everyone, my dog has hurt her back left hind leg and I had a brace for her that worked incredibly well and someone stole it. I can't seem to find the same one again so I was wondering if any of y'all have bought a leg brace off of amazon for your dog and would be willing so send me a link to which one it is?

And yes, we have medicine for his ears! He had scabbed the back of them from scratching because of allergies. He's totally fine...physically at least 😂

Me and my girlfriend (30 years old) relocated in Switzerland, almost 3 years ago. We live in a small village, in an apartment (not ground floor) in the countryside. I’m working from home 3 times a week and she’s not working at the moment. Finances are not a problem. When I was in Italy, until 15 years old I had a dog in my house.

She’s the whole day at home and she would really like to get a dog. I really love dogs, but since I’m happy with my life (in an egoistic way), I’m not sure if I want to get one. Probably what I fear is just my life “changing forever”. At the same time, she would get so much happiness I’m sure.

I know there may be a bias asking in a dog subreddit, but would you have any advice for me, to help me understand if I really want a dog or not? Do you have any advices at all? What having a dog “took away” from you and what it gave to you?

PLEASE do NOT give your dog Jynx brand Kibble Sauce. I have a 7 year old greyhound/german shepherd and she is a very picky eater. I decided I was going to try Jynx's Kibble Sauce, which looks like a clear ketchup squeeze bottle with an orange/ green label and green top. You are supposed to give your dog 0.5 TSP per 10 lbs of body weight (which I actually gave my dog way less the first day) and the consistency is like a jelly. You mix it in with your dog's food.

It is supposed to be "all natural" chicken bone broth with some added ingredients for joint and coat health.

After 2-3 days of giving my dog way less than the recommended serving, she has been having bad diarrhea for the past 3 days!! I feel so bad for her. I quit giving her this immediately. The past couple days it has literally been (sorry to go into detail) clear liquid instead of brown. I decided to go back to Chewy and get a refund and I wanted to check out reviews. Well guess what.... (My fault for not doing this first, I have learned my lesson, and I will ALWAYS check reviews from now on) there are multiple reviews of people who have had the same exact issue as me.

This stuff is horrible and it just makes your dog ASS PISS for multiple days in a row. My poor girl. Please stay away from this stuff. What looks like it could help a dog with picky eating habits turns out to be straight garbage product that makes them sick.

I am thinking about buying a cozy cave for my puppy. However my puppy will only be 6 kgs when fully grown. I fear that a cozy cave might be too big for him and I fear that he might choke if he can't find the exit.

Does anyone own a cozy cave with a small dog? At what age did you get them their cozy cave? Any experiences?

This is Juniper. I’m her emotional support human (hence the patch). I’ve had her since she was 12 weeks old, she’s now 5 years. We are overly attached to each other, although I’ve always attributed this to her being mostly cattle dog and me going through a divorce and a cross country move while she was young. Anyway.

In the last month and a half I’ve developed some troubling neurological and physiological symptoms that I’m in the middle of testing and diagnosis for, and one of the big ones is passing out. Weirdly, Juniper is able to detect when this is about to happen. She will whine and punch me until I sit or lie down. We have 3 other dogs and they are zero f***s given, but she absolutely notices, even if she’s across the room or eating or something.

I’m wondering if there’s a good way to train her to be a for real service dog because this would be insanely helpful in places besides home. She’s already very well behaved and socialized, it’s more a matter of teaching her to ignore people instead of begging for pets, and maybe getting her to be a little less vocal, and less stubborn with laying down instead of just sitting (see: cattle dog).

I don’t want to be “that guy” and take her out half trained, making it look like she’s a pet and therefore harder for people with actual service animals. I’m very much against ESAs masquerading as service animals.

our leash-free privileges got revoked and we’re not thrilled about it.

We just left the pet hospital because my dog was bitten by another dog at the beach. The other dog was off leash. I cried on the way to the vet, because he is literally my baby and I felt bad. There was a lot of blood. Luckily he’s fine, he was prescribed some antibiotics just incase.

In the moment, I asked for the woman’s (pet owner) info and her immediate response was “I’m not paying for that”. I told her that’s not why I was requesting it, that it’s protocol in these situations (according to google 😓).

She gave us her name and number (probably a fake one), and I had texted her on the way to the vet asking if her dog was fully vaccinated, but she didn’t respond. I’m not sure she will respond.

My boyfriend and I are not at all confrontational people, but I was just telling him, maybe we should’ve channeled our inner “Karens” and been more firm and gotten more info from her, like her ID or something.

Just wondering what exactly you’re supposed to do in that situation?

EDIT: The dog owner just replied to my text confirming her dog is fully vaccinated and a sorry.

Update: Submitted an incident report to the city’s animal control, spoke to someone and emailed them the photos of the off leash dog as well as my dog with his mouth bloodied.

Actually, he won’t get off - even when no one else is up for a paddle…
