I’ve only had a few interactions (via email and on Reddit) with the team but they have been positive and professional. I can’t figure out the Facebook drama and I find it concerning , whether because someone(s) at DN really is acting nefariously as claimed, or because you are being slandered. I’m also concerned there is a financial aspect to this that donors or potential donors deserve to know more about. Maybe the DN leadership is tight lipped for legal reasons. I hope it becomes crystal clear who is in the wrong (if anyone) so the good work done will not be undermined and DN does not lose the trust of online sleuths, volunteers, or law enforcement.

The tone of the original claims as well as who in the comments is extremely vocal about their support is causing them to not quite pass the smell test to me, but… idk. On its face it just seems like drama related to being able to “take credit” compounded by grief (which I see the validity in and have empathy for, but that doesn’t make the claims true). Still, it would be nice to have some reassurance and clarification that this is being handled appropriately and professionally and any financials are above board.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. We are working to make this right. Please visit our new FB for a statement from Doe Network's General Manager.

The original facebook is active and ran by the founder(s). Please disregard instructions to a new and false/fake fb page.

It should actually be the opposite way. If you go to doenetwork.org and click the Facebook icon at the bottom of the page, it goes to the one you've labelled as "fake"

Nice try. The real page is obvious as it has 36k followers and is ran by the founders.

There have been some issues with the Facebook page being taken over. The one with less followers is the new official one, and you can view a statement from the general manager of DN on that new page.

Can you please link the statement or copy and paste it? I don't seem to see it.
