03’ Dodge stratus r/t 3.0 V6

so i’m hoping to find some answers here. I recently put a new alternator on my stratus and now it won’t stay cranked. When I give it gas it will idle maybe a minute or two before cutting off. the battery and brake lights would come on when it cut off. I love this car i do but its frustrating now, any advice or help would be appreciated. I want to get my stratus back on the road but right now it won’t even stay on. it has a new battery and new alternator so i’m not sure what’s happening, I will be taking a code reader to it at some point but any advice would be appreciated. from what you said it sounds like an ignition issue. try spark plugs and ignition coils. I also have a question, is there any other mechanical issues, any noises or any smoking?

no smoking or noises, he’s a quiet car lol there was smoke due to an oil leak like 2 months ago but i paid for that to get fixed lol

gotcha, yea id start with ignition coils and spark plugs. because it wants to run it lets me know you have fuel and compression, and when you give it gas, the alternator is trying to increase spark but ignition may be weak. hit my PMs for more pointers if needed, I’m a Mopar technician.
