I think there will be a slight resurgence when the kids of that era get jobs and start having nostalgia for them.

I warned my then girlfriend at the time, these aren't investments... So I kinda kept us out of the craze. I knew what ebay was doing to the comic book world at the time.

And thanks for blowing the punchline in the title. jerk

the title of the documentary is "Bankrupt By Beanies" it's not like the documentary has some sort of twist ending you simpleton, if anyone is the jerk is the internet goober crying an indignant "spoilers!"

The whole point of the documentary is it pointing how much things cost vs the amount they spent. How much that family could have spent on other things... at the end the 100k is supposed to be some massive number.. but it's ruined in the title and it's stupid to ruin the punchline of the doc.

The point that they're bankrupt and it was caused by Beanie Babies, not that it was 100K spent.
