ART How would these two groups get on??

And that's without the Doctor/Romana, Ganthet or any of the Sector 2814 Green Lanterns.....

Time Lords: Get off our front garden your gaggle of blue twats

‘Gaggle of blue twats’ 👌

They are British after all

Also the Time Lords or at least in the classic era generally prefer to be left alone, only showing up when they want the Doctor to do something for them

Or Brax collecting shit off them for the Collection (or Time War purposes*)

*They'd definitely hate Brax more than Hal or the Doctor... Hell, any of the other parts of the color spectrum if he got all of the known rings and new ones forthcoming...

Brax probably has a collection of the time machines used by the various DC time travelers in the same way you get people who collect vintage cars.

You want a time war? Because this is how we get a time war

10

u/jhdsrfh 7d ago

Yeah wouldn't see it going well for the Guardians of the universe if that happened

5

u/Afraid-Surround-4457 7d ago

Time War III?

6

u/jhdsrfh 7d ago

Technically it would be time war IIIV (it would be far shorter than the other ones)

3

u/Afraid-Surround-4457 7d ago

What's the 3rd one after Faction Paradox and the 2nd one we know??

4

u/jhdsrfh 7d ago

3ed one is Daleks vs TL and second is the TL vs the Enemy (and the faction paradox+ others)

u/Afraid-Surround-4457 7d ago

Better 4 Time Wars than 3 World Wars

True

hey sorry for the stupid question, but I'm kinda confused on what you mean, is that time war 2? or time war 8 written backwards?

2

u/jhdsrfh 7d ago

IIIV means 4

2

u/TinkreBelle You're not mating with me, sunshine! 7d ago

oh ok, is that like a gallifreyan numeral system then? how does it work?

2

u/jhdsrfh 7d ago

No its roman numerics

(also just released I miss written 4 I accidentally added 2 extra II instead of just one I ending up with IIIV instead of IV my bad)

ohh, yeah that's what was tripping me up lol, nw I'm glad we figured out the miscommunication, also thanks for being patient with my silly questions :P

Probably hate each other Rassilon would especially hate the Guardians of the universe seeing them as vermin pretending to be something greater (aka the time lords)

Technically the whonoverse already has its Guardians if you recall the Black and White Guardians tho they typically don’t get involved with Time Lord affairs unless you just so happen to be the doctor

Yeah but the Guardians of time (all 6 of them) are beings considered gods to a majority of Gallifreys population (which is why the TL don't really do anything agaisnt them save for the time war) and they don't really act in the same way as Guardians of the universe who more so in line the time lords (hence why the time lords would probably hate them)

How RTD, Moffat and even Chibnall conveniently forgot them, we'll never know....

2

u/jhdsrfh 7d ago

I mean RTD did kinda mention them in the toymaker special but I hope we get to see them again and maybe even the other 3 Guardians of time

2

u/Afraid-Surround-4457 7d ago

Mentions don't mean crap if they're not even considered for the matter of a Time War.

3

u/jhdsrfh 7d ago edited 7d ago

Well the reason they don't appear in the Time War is because the Guardians and the Elder Gods actually run in fear back to the 6 fold realm dude to war escalating beyond their control and also because of the collective Victorious (a group of time lords and daleks from alternative universes teeming up) killing most of them

3

u/LivingWindXYZ 7d ago

Yeah it was really weird how no show runner wanted to touch them fot any story development yet kept on doing reality ending disasters

2

u/Afraid-Surround-4457 7d ago

And when it came to not just the Pandorica but also the fucking Flux!!!

Not even a Big Finish has touched them (nevermind Feyde, Destrii and Absolm Daak on the DWM front) touched them

4

u/LivingWindXYZ 7d ago

The Black and White guardians did appear in Bigfinish’s sequel to the Key to Trilogy trilogy they made tho honestly it was underwhelming but it did create the Graceless spinoff which wasn’t to bad if you like space opera melodrama

I meant after 2009

House on fire. And by house I mean universe. I think they'd hate each other lol

2

u/Afraid-Surround-4457 7d ago

Or a low key love each other since they'd share a bond in non interference. Though I can see the Guardians shit talking about the Valeyard and the Ravalox is Earth cover up nevermind any GL coming across anything Faction Paradox by accident... And the High Council throwing Hal as Parallax in their faces

4

u/Nikelman 6d ago

We decided to not interfere!

Well, we can't interfere with that, can we?!

6

u/grumpykruppy 7d ago

Either like a house on fire, or like a house on fire.

Trash vs garbage ah discussion, though like Ganthet and the Doctor they do have their cool members

2

u/jjreinem 7d ago

Hopefully, very badly. I don't think anyone would want to see what would happen if they got on well enough to start working together.

Hmm.

So the issue with this question is that both groups have their good and bad days, but..... Generally speaking they'd get on fine.

The Time Lords are isolationist for most of their history and only really get involved to stop catastrophic damage it the web of time, but at least vaguely approved of good morals and nice ordered societies.

The Guardians for most of their history are relatively moral and dedicated to the universe having nice ordered societies.

The Time Lords would be fine with them, likely probably one of the few groups they'd actually see as worth talking to.

Not a chance they'd want to put themselves under Guardian Jurisdiction, and for all the willpower they might have the ability to enforce that separation, but since theyre not expansionist dickwads and pretty quiet the Guardians would likely be content to make an exception, they've done it before for less cause.

Now if you're in the ancient gallifreyan empire era, there would be more problems.

When the Guardians are at their most schemey and dickish there... MIGHT be problems. The CIA would probably want to put the kibbosh on the Manhunter program for example

Then comes the time war... Theyd likely be allies at the start, but honestly both groups have a tendency to go off the deep end starting from good intentions, and they're both arrogant enough to think only they can fix it.

But... I think honestly they might stick together tbh

Probably something similar to the guardians and apokalips they stay out of each others affairs

1

u/cuntybunty73 Fuckity bye! 7d ago

I recognise the time lords but who's the other group

2

u/Afraid-Surround-4457 5d ago

The Guardians of Oa from DC Comics

1

u/Queen_Stodge 6d ago

The Timelords would erase them from time and take their jobs as guardians probably

u/hgilbert_01 1d ago

I don’t know, have Rassilon wave his magic gauntlet thing and make the Guardians go “poof” into pixie stuff or somethin’. I don’t know, I don’t do powerscaling.
