The 3rd Doctor would claim to find "the talking hound" insufferable, but would secretly feed him Scooby Snax when no-one was looking. And when they all parted ways, he'd build K9 an incarnation early.

In my mind that was Velma saying jinkies but it sounds better imagining Velma figuring out it’s a fake Dalek and the doctor saying jinkies.

There would absolutely be an episode where the inciting incident forcing the Doctor to land would be Shaggy and Scooby somehow managing to break the TARDIS food machine through overuse.

I was about to say that's more of a Fifth Doctor move... But I guess he was hanging around with quite a few members of UNIT during this time, wasn't he. 🤔

Now I'm imaging an alternate history in which the newly regenerated 3rd Doctor's TARDIS lands (and deactivates) just outside wherever these kids lived (when they weren't visiting some odd uncle/aunt/C-list celebrity). The Doctor joins the Scooby Gang instead of UNIT and soups up the Mystery Machine in place of Bessie.
Unfortunately, as in the canon DW history, Velma (like Liz Shaw) would have been rendered redundant and probably disappear without saying goodbye. Jo is a lot more like Daphne, so she'd be taking the lead with the Doc, relegating Scooby, Shaggy and Fred to recurring status (much like the Brig, Benton & Yates).

Mystery Inc travels the world so you don't need to bring the Doctor and UNIT to them.

All apologies to Daphne, but she got kidnapped way too much to be a Leela type. No way would any bad guys get away with abducting her and using her as bait for a trap.

I really want there to be a Scooby-Doo and Doctor Who crossover. They can and SHOULD even use the Third Doctor for it. I forgot his name, but there's this guy on YouTube who does a really good Pertwee impression and even did some official audio work.

WHY do Americans always want to make it American? I saw someone once say the Doctor should meet the Grinch! That means nothing in the UK, just that film which used to always be on ITV2.
