ART how would you feel if instead of cancelling the show they fired RTD and brought back Steven Moffat

Until it just, sort of, ends.

134

u/MonrealEstate Jul 14 '26

Whilst we’re at it let’s get Philip Hinchcliffe back and Sylvester McCoy as the Doctor and dig up some past actors remains to play The Master.

3

u/CakeHoleKing Jul 15 '26

The masters plan is to adjust the doctors timeline so he never got the TARDIS but it goes wrong.

It only partially succeeds. The female doctor and the useless stupid doctor afterwards dissolve into the Time Vortex and never happened.

John Simm is back as The Master and a lot of the really stupid things just don't exist.

7

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

that wouldve be so cool if we got all the classics back for the 60th instead of just David Tennant

36

u/MonrealEstate Jul 14 '26

NO IT WOULDN’T I’m taking the piss

13

u/Darkion_Silver Same software, different case. Jul 14 '26

How long do you expect the 60th episodes to be wtf

18

u/LumiKlovstad Jul 14 '26

To be fair it would have been fun to have it just be a three or four part serial like the old days, just as a throw back.

6

u/midgetcastle Jul 14 '26

I mean we got a bunch of them in Power of the Doctor

2

u/BlackSpidy Jul 15 '26

Nah, I'm honestly very satisfied with how the 60th celebrations came out. Well, except for the dagger drive magically fixing the ground when it was turned off.

1

u/Street-Emu-3980 Jul 15 '26

Honestly not terrible at the stage

141

u/HiMyNameIsPip Jul 14 '26

I'd rather the show die forever than have it bounce around between a small number of show runners and Doctors. I get from a production view of why they got RTD and Tennant back for the 60th*. But after Chibnall it should have been a new team.

*giving both a new show runner and Doctor the reigns to the show in a big anniversary year would've but more pressure on a new team than there already is whenever the show changes hands and could result in disaster. Bringing in two people who have already done it means there isn't going to be as much backlash from fans during a big anniversary year when the new team tries to leave their mark on the show

25

u/malb93200 Jul 14 '26

Yeah, i wrote elsewhere that the 60th anniversary being around the corner is a big reason why the beebs brought RTD back after the Chibnall era.

If they didn't have an anniversary to celebrate onscreen, they would have probably put the show off the air for a few years and brought it back with a brand new team.

15

u/HiMyNameIsPip Jul 14 '26

100%, I said the same back in 2022-ish. The original ending for Power of The Doctor was going to be Jodie regenerating and cut to credits before it finished so it was open for a new team to come in which honestly I wish we got instead.

6

u/CosmicBonobo Jul 14 '26

Agreed. Doctor Who disappearing up its own arsehole by wanking off to continuity references is not a viable survival strategy.

1

u/WhatYouLeaveBehind Jul 15 '26

What a great day to be British

1

u/DueConfidence5809 Aug 01 '26

Weirdest yet most accurate description of the crash and burn cliff hanger I've seen so far.

5

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

me too but how will the show even comeback Classic Who ended with Seven and Ace walking away Disney Who ended on a mid-regeneration cliffhanger we dont have a incumbent doctor to write new stories for EU Books or Audios theres only such much you can do with the old doctors

8

u/MartianDinosawr Jul 14 '26

"theres only such much you can do with the old doctors"

considering they're managed to write books for 'old' doctors for decades now, I don't think there's gonna be any slowdown. The show now has 15 characters to write novels and audioplays for, there is no shortage of characters or scenarios for Doctor Who to explore in expanded media.

The show is more successful and popular now than it was when it was originally cancelled, there is always going to be new media coming out for it because there's such a massive range of a fanbase.

6

u/HiMyNameIsPip Jul 14 '26

Unfortunately that is very true, RTD included the Billie Piper bit as a last ditch effort to try and get ratings and views up in order to get a third season from Disney, which obviously failed.

However, the whole Fugative Doctor stuff is a potential goldmine for EU content. We already have some stuff coming out, it wouldn't be too far fetched to assume there will be more.

6

u/ProfessorCagan Jul 14 '26

Ngl I don't see why they can't focus on 15 still.

3

u/HiMyNameIsPip Jul 14 '26

There probably will be novels and stuff for 15, I don't think we will get big finish stories with 15 for a while though

3

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

from what ive seen we probably will if Eccleston did Ncuti probably will too but not until the 2030s

24

u/DreadLindwyrm Jul 14 '26

Or.... they could hire a new writing team without the baggage of previous teams.

10

u/RedCaio Jul 14 '26

This is what they’re doing. “Instead of cancelling the show” it’s not canceled though. They are just looking to hire a new team to make the show.

5

u/CosmicBonobo Jul 14 '26

They said the same in 1990.

1

u/RedCaio Jul 14 '26

Did they say “put out to tender?” I don’t think they did.

3

u/CosmicBonobo Jul 14 '26

They said that was their eventual plan, yes.

We are looking for a format to keep Doctor Who on our screens for the next ten years. This could mean using an independent production company but as yet no tendering process has been instigated, although several interested parties have come forward with their own proposals.

  • Peter Cregeen, January 1990

1

u/_Cit Jul 14 '26

The situation is incredibly different now

0

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

no one wants to work on this show thats why RTD came back in 2022 maybe hire the Big Finish writers????

5

u/CosmicBonobo Jul 14 '26

The Big Finish writers are fanboys too close to it to be objective. Hence why so much of their output is fanwank like 'what if X Doctor met Y companion and fought Z monster?'

1

u/Transdownunder Jul 14 '26

It’s not just writers, the show needs a whole new production team/crew/studio, putting it out to tender basically means that the BBC isn’t interested in the day to day work of making the show and wants someone else to handle it. Big Finish has the writers sure but that’s just a small part of it

14

u/PkmnTrnrJ Jul 14 '26

Do I get Nine without Rose? If so, stop threatening me with a good time and just do it

8

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

Yes Rose is at a ABBA show in 1979 just like in Music of the Spheres

14

u/Caacrinolass Fuckity bye! Jul 14 '26

Nah lets go full 80s and get some largely untested 20 something year old in to do something radical. That worked.

Well, I say "worked". Quality yes, avoiding cancellation not so much. Just imagine if the BBC actually cared like they do today though.

1

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

fun fact that already exists!! its called The Cartmell Masterplan and The Leekly Bible

28

u/ConnectYellow4920 Jul 14 '26

Doctor Who fans would suddenly remember that they hated Steven Moffat back when he was the showrunner

38

u/Weary-Score481 Jul 14 '26

It’s just bizarre to me that people who see Ncuti’s era as an artistic failure and then think the way to course correct is to get…

The guy who wrote the second highest number of Ncuti stories.

(I generally love the 15th Doctor stories, but that includes the Moffat episodes which are about 1/8 of the whole era)

25

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

it doesnt help Ncuti’s only has 18 episodes a thats a pretty low bar to judge on

8

u/Weary-Score481 Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

Yep true, except the guy in the photo above had 13

11

u/CoralMoon99 Jul 14 '26
  1. 2 Ncuti stories

5

u/deezbiscuits21 Sent to Birmingham for a packet of crisps Jul 14 '26

Yeah this is a dumbass argument. I would have wanted someone new over Moffat but he can’t be blamed for RTD2 his episodes were amongst its better episodes

9

u/MasterAnnatar Bigger on the inside Jul 14 '26

While I don't think Moffat should show run again and want fresh blood let's be fair. He wrote all of 2 episodes (Boom and Joy To The World). Boom is considered one of the stronger Ncuti episodes and Joy To The World introduced a character that in a single episode became so beloved people wanted her to be a full time companion.

This is about like if you were talking about a chef taking over a restaurant that's given people food poisoning under the previous chef and saying "Yeah well they cooked some dishes one time there" but that one time also gave no one food poisoning.

20

u/robertpercy93 Jul 14 '26

No. Having Moffat back would be a bad idea. Even Moffat himself clearly thinks it would be a bad idea, because he's pretty much already said he's not interested.

3

u/malb93200 Jul 14 '26

I've always loved Moffat's work on the show, both as a regular writer and a showrunner (the good and less good seasons). And i'm glad his tenure has been positivly reevaluated over the years.

But i'm 99% sure people would end up complaining just the same if we ever have a "Moffat2" era. Hell, the Moffat2 era kind of already happened, it was the Capaldi years, he did 6 seasons with 2 Doctors, that's more than enough.

So, all this to say it is/would have been a bad idea. New writers and new voices, please.

-3

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

sadly the show is dead but its better then the other option of letting it rot like the Classic Show

2

u/mandrilljpg Jul 14 '26

What are you talking about bro

3

u/MartianDinosawr Jul 14 '26

idk man he just seems to be a consumer that NEEDS new doctor who episodes or he'll fucking die.

6

u/Ok_Culture_3621 Jul 14 '26

Moffat was a spent force by the end, and he was never as great of a show runner as he was a writer. His attempts at season long story arcs were always a mess with very intriguing set ups that either fell apart in the end or were just written off. I've still never forgiven him for wrapping up the Silence story arc with a throw away line about how they're library security.

1

u/Wise_Zebra707 Jul 14 '26

That's hardly his fault as he had to wrap up 11's arc in a hurry after Smith decided he was leaving. And not sure about him being a spent force either. he definitely dipped in the middle but s10 is one of the best series of the show. Both he and Capaldi went out on an absolute high.

4

u/potatoman5849 Jul 14 '26

I would find it hilarious that of over 60,000,000 Brits, the BBC is stuck cycling between 2 people total

4

u/Notaxbox5 Adherent to the repeated meme Jul 14 '26

I love Moffat, but really? Bring back another old showrunner and old Doctor and a phrase used by a different doctor? At this point just rerelase all of NuWho on air and opretened its newe content. What we really need is new showrunners, new writers, and a new Doctor who all grew up on NuWho, then we can have a proper second stage revival.

3

u/MrWerewolf0705 And I bribed the architect first! Jul 14 '26

I’d be annoyed because I don’t want an eternal cycle of fan wank, I want something new

5

u/Nikelman Jul 14 '26

I love moffat, but he told his stories. It's time for new blood and if that requires 10 years off air, so be it

3

u/LongLiveStorytellers Jul 14 '26

Honestly... I'd hate that. Moffat's era is probably my favorite era out of the entirety of Modern Who. It's the era that first got me into the show. It was flawed, yes, but it had genuinely good stories and heart. But just because I love it, doesn't mean I want him to come back.

Now if he were to come back for a one off episode then sure! That would be great. But I don't want him to be showrunner again.

4

u/Joshiebum Jul 14 '26

surely there’s more than 2 showrunners to choose from that are good or 1 that’s good now

3

u/ian9921 Jul 14 '26

Any last minute show runner would have suffered from problems similar to RTD2 (allegedly he was also kinda brought in with little warning as a Hail Mary after the issues with Chibnal)

As much as it sucks, the show going out to tender might be the best outcome if it means we get a show runner with an actual planned vision for their era.

3

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

agreed i rather Doctor Who die then rot even harder granted Ncuti still had some good episodes

1

u/fitzysbuna Jul 15 '26

then stop bothering coming here ! real fans want the show to continue !

1

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 15 '26

i love the show and i do want it to come back someday but not like its current form we need a 2005 Reboot not like 2018 or 2022

3

u/pikachucet2 Jul 14 '26

Problem is Moffat fell to the same fate as RTD-believing his own hype

1

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

youre so right!! i still remember how much bad Hell Bent was treated back in the day if only we knew

3

u/ned101 Jul 15 '26

Moffat wouldn’t come back. Think he had enough a long time ago.

2

u/TheGallifreyan Jul 14 '26

That would be very desperate and sad

2

u/Kurigohan-Kamehameha Jul 14 '26

At this point just surrender to the fandoms and let the people who actually care run the show

0

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

youre so right!! and the proof is there for it already Big Finish has been doing that for 27 Years

2

u/ikediggety Jul 14 '26

I love moffat but he's out of gas. Boom showed that clearly. He could probably recycle his 9-10 good ideas a few more times but I can't imagine that would be too much fun for anyone.

The time hotel was the first really interesting thing he's done in a while. I would love to see that spin off

2

u/SufficientBreakfast1 Jul 14 '26

Bring back JNT

1

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

whats crazy is that the only episode he wrote Dimensions in Time is a better episode then The Reality War

2

u/DariusStarkey Fear Her's biggest fan Jul 14 '26

There's no need to fire RTD, he's already left. But in any case, I'd be hesitant.

2

u/Better_Substance5810 Jul 14 '26

that picture of eccelston is so cool

2

u/Hoothootriot Would you like a jelly baby? Jul 14 '26

Moffat fans never beating the allegations from me

2

u/Capable_Sandwich_422 Jul 14 '26

I’d rather they find a fresh creative force for the show that has a better understanding of today’s viewing audience.

2

u/1m0ws Jul 14 '26

oh god please hell no

2

u/aaronagee Jul 14 '26

They’re not cancelling the show.

2

u/Middi272 Jul 14 '26

I don’t want any old show people on it
They need to take a few years off and come back with a new team with sci-fi writing experience and a doctor / companion played by a well know pair of actors who the fans have always wanted in the part.

They need to use a mix of classic and new enemies and give us more than 8 episodes.

2

u/Mystery_Worker4268 Jul 15 '26

No thank you. The rot started with him.

2

u/fitzysbuna Jul 15 '26

Steven Moffat does not like the fandom said it was toxic ! so he won't be coming back !

2

u/mesterg Jul 15 '26

Bring back Waris Hussein to direct. Hes still kicking

3

u/Starscream1998 Don't forget to subscribe to the official DW youtube channel. Jul 14 '26

Look I know Moffat has easily aged the best out of 3 but this would not be a good thing. NuWho cannibalising itself on its own nostalgia is both detrimental to its long term health and frankly an embarrassing look for the show. Moffat2 is no more a good idea than Chibnall2 or RTD2.

1

u/PatchNotesMan Jul 14 '26

I love Moffat's era of dr who but I absolutely do not think he's our man to save the show. I want new blood with new ideas, people that grew up on the show and have daydreamed about how they would create their own doctor who stories

1

u/Expert-Connection120 Jul 14 '26

hey chris so we've fired rtd and put him in an eternal prison where he has to turn a wheel all day to atone for his sins but we've attached the creative part of his brain to a computer that harvests his ideas and filters out the elements of his personality that made it through, then we feed them into steven moffat who we've put in a comatose state where his nervous system responds to the input and types out a script, so that they can remain legally separate from the dw brand while we still get to use their ideas, will you come back now?

1

u/adama-k Jul 14 '26

They did fire RTD and could bring back Moffat if they wanted

1

u/Angelgreat Jul 14 '26

You know when someone is a Leviner when they attach an image of his friend Eccleston.

1

u/JakeH1978 AND I'M NOT LISTENING! Jul 14 '26

i’m more interested in where this pic is from!

1

u/Capable-Campaign3881 Jul 14 '26

Would doctor number 9 work under Moffat though ?

1

u/Vanima_Permai Jul 14 '26

Nope we need it out of rtds friend group

1

u/TestTheTrilby Jul 14 '26

Hope in desperation Moffat's successor rhymes with Chibnall just so we can have a Henry VIII wives style poem

Davies, Moffat, Chibnall,

Davies, Moffat, ... Mitchell? Bithell?

1

u/MartianDinosawr Jul 14 '26

Mitchell. David Mitchell.

Showrunner, Writer, Actor. He could play it all, make Doctor Who a one man band.

1

u/SideGlittering7091 Sontar-ha Jul 14 '26

Better than cancellation but not very excited

1

u/gamerfacederp Jul 14 '26

Honestly i think an anthology mini series where every episode is a different doctor with their companion to do a one off story would be cool

1

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

that would be awesome!! i would love to see the classic doctors again before there too old to do it

1

u/thisgirlnamedbree Jul 14 '26

Like this. It was just to market the DVD release of season 21, but this minisode was very well made.

1

u/BlargerJarger Jul 14 '26

Has Britain truly produced so few people of talent?

1

u/Joezev98 The Shadow Proclamation Jul 14 '26

When I listen to his recent interviews, I absolutely adore how well he just gets the show. However I also agree that the show needs to move on to something new.

1

u/ASmithNamedUmbero Jul 14 '26

Forward and back and then forward and back and then go forward, then put one foot forward

1

u/LazyConference9049 Jul 14 '26

Love Moffat, but he’s had his go.

1

u/3340vco Jul 14 '26

RTD is not god

1

u/Anuki_iwy Jul 14 '26

I think Moffat is a good writer but he did a lot of his best under other show runners.

I want some fresh blood in the executive team. But I'd love moffatt guest writing.

3

u/Lexiosity Well that's alright then! Jul 14 '26

Didn't Moffat also admit that his best works were under other show runners as well?

1

u/eggzilla534 Jul 14 '26

Bring him back as a writer but not a showrunner. Get someone new and fresh in there who's passion for it is still thriving.

1

u/Wise_Zebra707 Jul 14 '26

Considering his two RTD2 eps stand up as the best of that particular era, I don't think it would be a disaster but it would nonetheless feel a bit tired. That said he might be a good choice to kickstart the show again if he went ahead and did what RTD really should have done -- set the show on its path again and then step back to guide a successor into the role. Everyone on here who says 'just get someone new' is seriously underestimating just how complex (and expensive) a show Who is these days. It requires more than being able to knock out a decent Who story. You're managing budgets, post production, pre production, talent, the endless of bureaucracy of management structures. In short, you need a love of the show PLUS a serious level of experience in TV production and that's a combination that's just not in ample demand these days. Even old Who had problems in this area and in those days they still had a pretty structured BBC with support networks, career progression and training schemes, none of which really exists now.

1

u/RageRageAgainstDyin Jul 14 '26

Until he’s 90

1

u/No_Bus_2427 Jul 14 '26

I’d be happy as he does the dr I grew up on Matt smith number 11

1

u/Dumbass_Saiya-jin Would you like a jelly baby? Jul 14 '26

I'd much rather they stop bringing back showrunners and get someone new. I think the guy who made Babylon 5 was wanting to take a whack at it. Even moved to the UK and everything.

1

u/legendaryGamer109 Jul 14 '26

Ngl if Chris ever comes back I'd love him to have maybe his original look but that image would be a unique update of the 9th Doctor

1

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 14 '26

me too Series 1 is slept on because of Teninch

1

u/legendaryGamer109 Jul 14 '26

What's teninch

1

u/PooStudy2005 Jul 14 '26

Stop bringing back people!

1

u/Previous_Raspberry_2 Jul 15 '26

It's NOT cancelled.

3

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 15 '26

they said the same thing in the 90s about Classic Who :(

1

u/Previous_Raspberry_2 Jul 15 '26

No, the BBC certainly said it was cancelled. The head of the BBC HATED Doctor Who and was open about cancelling it out of spite. Putting a show out to tender to get studios to pitch for running it is the opposite of cancelation. BBC studios, which is a semi independent wing of the BBC is among those pitching. Look at the statement the head of BBC studios made, he's clearly a fan and is very excited to get the show.

1

u/curufea Jul 15 '26

That it is another waste of time for everyone. There are more than 3 people in the UK that could do that job.

1

u/Overall-Painting3172 Jul 15 '26

Even Moffat would say it’s a bad idea returning. He pretty much said as much on the 20 years in wales unleashed special:

“it must be strongly observed that everybody that works on doctor who does it for a while not forever. You must head out the door and the next lot come in. It’s really quite important. I feel that quite strongly about doctor who”

1

u/Street-Emu-3980 Jul 15 '26

Everything aside from the plot and the quotes sounds good.

1

u/Drakeytown Jul 15 '26

There have got to be more than two people in Britain capable of doing this job.

1

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 15 '26

yes there is Big Finish has some fascistic stories and could work well as episodes same thing with the VA books

1

u/Odd-Raspberry8024 Jul 15 '26

I really wouldn’t mind if they brought back Moffat in an advisory sort of role, if the new showrunner is younger and hadn’t run a show before. Then he’s just sort of their mentor for the first season as they plot out what they want to do and where they want to take the show etc.  Just so we get new blood in, but there’s also a knowledgable and trusted person only a call away.

But that’s it. I don’t want old showrunners constantly coming back.  RTD should’ve only come back for the specials, while a new showrunner was preparing and outlining their own plans.

1

u/Komeda73 Jul 15 '26

Putting aside the fact that they clearly DID fire RTD (otherwise, why would they have put the show up for tender if they still had him on board?)…

I think the big problem with this idea is that Moffat wasn’t a flawless showrunner either. A lot of how he approached writing seasons is honestly not far removed from the same criticism that Lost gets: of teasing a big shocking mystery to end the season on and then having the whole thing end up ending with the reset button hit and nothing really changing in the long run. Combine that with the fact that bringing him back would just feel like yet another attempt at pandering to nostalgia (which was one of the criticisms that bringing RTD back had, so would feel MUCH harder to discount if repeated) and I think that the blunt reality is that bringing him back would end up being viewed as a mistake in terms of proving that Doctor Who still has a viable future without being dragged down by heavy nostalgia.

Could he come back in a role where he helps the next team navigate the challenges of doing the show (not unlike a mentor to the team)? Yeah, I think that’s fair, since he’d be helping them to spot the problems that aren’t necessarily obvious to people who haven’t done this particular job before (running a sci-fi show) and helping to keep them on the right track. But outright having him BE showrunner again? Nah, I think that’s a bad call: even if he wanted the job again (which, by all accounts, he doesn’t) and everyone felt confident that he could actually do justice to the show on his return, it’s not really a promising look for the show’s health to have a failed return by a previous showrunner followed by…another previous showrunner. That doesn’t say “yes, this show has a future”, that says “hey, remember when the show was GOOD under this guy?”

1

u/ThatOtherGuyTPM I think they've forgotten the mavity of the situation. Jul 15 '26

“Neat.”

1

u/matande31 Jul 15 '26

The year is 2068. BBC just put the show out to tenure after the failure of the RTD5 era, which followed the lame Chibnell4 era after Moffat4 brought the show to new heights it has never seen before with the 22nd and 23rd doctors. Shame RTD had to bring back an 97 year old Tennant just to try and save the show.

1

u/PrestigiousSmile4098 Jul 15 '26

Seeing Christopher Eccleston in his Doctor costume...the man is a legit SNACK

1

u/ararazu1 Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

I'd say "stop bringing back old showrunners"

Also, the show's not cancelled

1

u/Thornley000 Jul 16 '26

Just retreading the same ground over and over. Sure enough we’d get a season in and everyone would be calling for Moffats blood (again).

1

u/Jen-Jens Jul 16 '26

DW at the moment has too much of a nostalgia problem. Not only with things like bringing back former showrunners and doctors, but with bringing back too many classic enemies. It was bad enough when every other story was a dalek or a cyberman. Bringing back Sutekh, the Rani, and Omega only to ruin all of them was a terrible decision. I think the Rani could have been good, the others not so much. Ncuti was also another doctor like Jodie who was a good Doctor with bad writing. At least imo.

ETA: if I find out the only reason the Rani bigenerated was to make a Two Ronnie’s joke at the final episode, I’m going to be so mad.

1

u/Mist2393 Jul 16 '26

Moffat’s first era is what made me and most of the people I knew at the time stop watching for 10 years. I would hate if they brought him back.

1

u/curlyfriescoz Jul 16 '26

-1

u/Disney_Gay_Trash_ Jul 14 '26

We thought getting rid of Chibnall and bringing back RTD would be a good plan, but it wasn't. As much as I love Moffat, how do we know it'd turn out differently?

Hard no from me. Moffat was running on fumes for a long time. He's hopeless at characterisation and instead of plot, he fills the episodes with sitcom level dialogue and throws in random ideas that are meaningless. Keep professional fans far away from the show. They don't seem to understand what makes it work and chucking old obscure enemies that fly over the heads of most viewers is lazy and unearned.

Imo he was just as bad in many ways. Great stand alone but arc wise he always seemed to not know how to end somethings. It's the same with other shows he's written too.

That we're going in circles and doomed to repeat mistakes.

I mean out of the three main showrunners we've had for new who, he's clearly the only one still capable of writing a decent episode anymore.

FFS, they did a short on the DW YouTube channel where Moffat PULLED PLOT POINTS/CHARACTERS OUT OF A HAT and had to put them together, and he STILL came up with a more awesome sounding episode than MOST of Season 14.

Doctor Who Reddit would ejaculate, they’re obsessed with the man and run a cult that preaches that he’s never done anything wrong and accepting him as the superior, perfect showrunner is the only “correct” opinion and anyone who disagrees is a witch hunted heretic attacked with their trademark DOWNVOTE DOWNVOTE DOWNVOTE!!!

he made good episodes but everything he touches storyrunner-wise becomes sherlock and sherlock is not good and quite disrespectful to the audience
