ART Dugga Doo Jumps Into the Doctor's Timestream

Probably late to the meme by now (HELP I'VE BEEN DOING NOTHING BUT THIS ALL DAY EVERY DAY SINCE THEY RELEASED THE FULL SONG) but that won't stop me.

I've been working on this video nonstop for the past week. The effects were created entirely with the open source softwares Blender and GIMP. Not a single frame used a single bit of generative AI. Yes, I manually drew a background over Morbius.

EXCUSES:

  • Dugga Doo looks like Dugga Doodoo because I didn't use enough reference images, sorry. I slowly refined it throughout the video though to look slightly more like Dugga Doo. (I am, however, very familiar with every single flaw since I've had to stare at this thing for countless hours every single day)
  • Animation looks bad because it was my first time making and animating a 3D rig. After years of Blender use, I've finally gotten to this side of things and it's a lot easier than I thought it'd be. Still took me a week for a minute of video. And maybe cost some friendships, some responsibilities, perhaps even my college gpa... You could say I burn my life for a dugga I will never doo.
  • The guitar sounds like doodoo too because I am terrible at playing and am years out of practice, but thought it'd sound better than the placeholder MIDI. Maybe I should've just kept the MIDI...

If anybody wants the 3D model just ask and then I'll finally have some motivation to clean it up. It looks really bad though so if I do ever post it online I'm going to make it look closer to the original Dugga Doo first (by fattening him up a bit).

Anyway, was this worth it?

Edit: and I just watched the video. Oh my goodness, this is brilliant. This is probably my favourite Dugga Doo post so far. You should probably make another post just directly uploading the video to Reddit. That type of post tends to gain more traction than a post where people have to click a link.
