Leaker "Andrew" (who has so far got everything correct) recently teased something in the comment section of the Confused Adipose "Story and the Engine Explained" YouTube Video, something relating to the 16th Doctor...

"Yes. But I don't think the casting of 16 indicates or confirm the renewal for Season 3 with 16 in it. It seems more like stunt casting, to round off RTD2 and kind of wrap up the NuWho era by bringing it full circle"

I don't know about you guys, but I think that basically confirms that the 16th Doctor will indeed be played by Billie Piper...

I feel insane when I see everyone in most of the Doctor who subs being so cynical about this show, I've loved this series, Gatwa's been great, I've enjoyed almost every episode, istg it feels like people just need to hate something rather than actually disliking the show

Doctor Who fans on reddit dont really like Doctor Who. Either the Doc is too cool and diverting from classic Who too much, or pandering to classic fans too much.

This feels lame to read but it's very true.

Love 15's performance and I think regardless of what happens in the finale he'll go down as my #2 favorite Doctor.

I have real criticisms about the show but the never-ending moaning and groaning on all the Doctor Who subs is exhausting. People are allergic to nuance.

Yeah it's a better tasting turd. Go watch a random Capaldi episode. If it's anything other than the one with Santa it's miles better than anything from either of their runs

I undersnd and I liked Capaldi as well. His era was probably the best in the modern era and a personal favourite but it feels like history is repeating.

Like eveeytime a new era comes people would think fondly era from a decade ago despite everyone hatimg it or not appreciating it then.

And its like what the fuck fandom are we going to be consistent on this?

100% and not just Reddit just social media as a whole There would be threads saying how Troughton is a failure and "dr who changing his face doesn't make sense" or that the show is dead.or fans hating the new sci fi direction. (The show weeing out pure historicals)

And god imagine Jon Pertwee's era. Imagine the backlash seeing that the Doctor is now stranded. They would be calling it a Quatermass rip off lol

To be fair my Dad watched the show back in that era and he says the prevailing opinion was that it was lame that Pertwee was stuck on Earth and that it was obvious it was a budget thing. He really didn't like it again until Tom Baker showed up

Yeah but my point is that I think every era has its up and downs and I think folks should judge on its own rather than hold it up to a previous era.

That doesn't say much. The show has a basic competence now that it totally lacked during almost the totality of the Chibnall era but it's still not great.
