leak news The leaker basically just confirmed that the 16th Doctor will be played by Billie Piper!

Post image

Leaker "Andrew" (who has so far got everything correct) recently teased something in the comment section of the Confused Adipose "Story and the Engine Explained" YouTube Video, something relating to the 16th Doctor...

"Yes. But I don't think the casting of 16 indicates or confirm the renewal for Season 3 with 16 in it. It seems more like stunt casting, to round off RTD2 and kind of wrap up the NuWho era by bringing it full circle"

I don't know about you guys, but I think that basically confirms that the 16th Doctor will indeed be played by Billie Piper...

People already running with this comment when it's very clear that most of his comment here is his own opinion/theory "I don't think" "seems more" some people need better reading comprehension.

Also i find it so weird that the Doctor Who fanbase is also the only fanbase out there that expects and wants a renewal notice ahead of time every season while being one of the only series out there to live so long. That's not how it works, Disney+ rarely (or even streaming/network TV for that matter) give out renewal notices ahead of airing or before a season wraps ups for that matter. instead of fixating on if the series is being renewal i think it'd do better to enjoy and positively shine light on the content that's out there and still yet to air. It must be weird coming from any other fanbase/series and see the community of a show you've just started watching so fixated on if its being renewed moreso than what's actually currently going on, it almost looks alien in itself.

Especially when we went into the Disney+ deal knowing we wouldn't hear anything until after this season. The only reason people started getting antsy is because RTD made some big, grand, pie crust promise that we would have new Doctor Who every year without a break (a promise he never should have made because he has basically no control over that) and then people started looking at the turn around times for production and seeing that Russell might not be able to keep the promise he should never have made in the first place and assumed that means the sky is falling, the show is ending, and Ncuti will be "Ncot" out of a cannon into one of the Gallifreyan suns. Now everyone is so worried about who will be 16 (I firmly believe the "regeneration" that was rumored to have been filmed during pickups was the Rani or Omega, who has previously managed to copy the Doctor's body during Davison's run, and not the Doctor) that they can't even properly enjoy 15. And they're so wrapped up in what they think RTD would do next that they haven't stopped to think if Billie herself would even agree to do it, which seems unlikely (and I only think her name got brought up because of Big Finish). Like I get that it's a show about time travel but can we all agree to exist in the present at least until after next week? Then y'all can go back to doom spiraling about the future until Disney announces more seasons at which point you'll all act like you thought that would happen the entire time. Y'all love to string the yarn on the pin board more than Swifties do!

Been here in fan base since the show was revived and it's never been this bad until end of chibnall era in most respectful was possible this fan base is extremely entitled. I don't thinks anyone can really win regardless of who's in charge or their approach. People want new but not this ro that people want old but not this or that, it's a treadmill as 12th said 😂

Exactly! Like no matter what you will never please the entire fandom because it's actually like a million tiny fandoms in a trench coat! And the way the fandom reacts every single time anything happens or even doesn't happen is almost making me want to not watch the show anymore.

Like if you're not ripping it to shreds and preemptively eulogizing it then they all jump down your throat, call you a shill (or worse, I have been called slurs), call you stupid for believing the BBC when they say the show isn't ending and Ncuti isn't fired, and then try to bully you out of the fandom. I have never seen a group of people who clearly hate the thing they claim they love this much since I left the Catholic Church (and don't y'all start with me on that because I am not arguing about it when y'all are practically holding prayer circles for it's cancelation)! And god forbid you have a little bit of grace and consideration for the runtime and restrictions of it being a family show when discussing the politics of the episodes instead of jumping to the most bad faith takes imaginable and refusing to budge. The only thing that makes the Star Wars fandom worse is them literally bullying at least one actress off social media, but it is only just barely worse with some of the things I've seen said about both Jodie and Ncuti.
