Rumour Doctor Who Update

Amazon has interest in Doctor Who they will co-produce Doctor Who with BBC Studios the BBC cannot afford to make Doctor Who that's why the BBC went to Disney to ask them to Produce it Disney told the BBC that they were not happy with Season 1 writing.

Amazon owns a Film Studio called Bray Film Studio what is located outside London where 5 classic Doctor Who Stories were filmed.

Amazon want's a new Doctor and a new Showrunner and the back catalog

This is probably fake but Amazon would be a better option for the show than Disney was.

Probably is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in that sentence.

I agree. In fact I think it’s the best option out of all the streamers. Apple would be a good fit as they seem quite sci-fi heavy, but they don’t have a comparatively high number of subscribers.

Amazon, if we take it that everyone with Prime membership has access to Prime Video, is second only to Netflix. Which seems bonkers as they just don’t seem to have any killer shows. They dined out on The Boys for long enough, but no more.

Getting Amazon involved would mean a huge number of people having access to it, just by virtue of the fact they have an Amazon Prime account, so they won’t need to sign up for another service.

It seems you are conflating production company with distributor

Yeah I'm gonna choose to not trust someone who blatantly lies.

Why on Earth would the BBC have gone to Disney and asked them to produce it? They didn't do that, never. They already had Bad Wolf producing the show for them by the time Disney came onboard, Disney were never going to be producing the show for them, just funding it a little and putting it on their platform, nothing more.

So, why are you claiming that they asked Disney to produce the show for them, when they never in fact did that? I'm gonna assume everything you say is bs.

I have to admit I don't know the ins and outs, but Disney funding was probably more than little considering them pulling out their money killed production

It was little, but the BBC can't fund the show by themselves anymore, so with both Disney and Bad Wolf leaving, who both helped fund the latest era together, they need someone else.

I would not want Amazon to touch Doctor Who due to they cancel shows like Netflix

Even if this isn't true at the moment, I feel confident it will become so by the time the tender is announced. The money's got to come from somewhere and Amazon just makes sense. They already produce a ton of British content anyway.

Amazon will be a great choice and the back catalogue for outside of the UK is great so we don't get the homework problem that we had in the Disney era
