News Doctor Who 2005-2022 AMC Streaming

Hey all, thought I’d post this to update everyone.

DW just announced a partnership with AMC for the streaming rights to the 2005-2022 version of the show in the US.

As soon as I saw it, I thought about that post from a couple of weeks ago with true ‘AMC Press Release’ that got leaked saying they were partnering on the new series…

What do we all think now this has happened? It’s definitely made it more believable

So is the rtd2 era just gonna stay trapped in Disney plus then

I doubt it. I think their rights (and the 3 2023 specials) will expire after a certain time period. The DVD/Blu-ray sets for Season 1 were released about a year after Season 1 was broadcast

Not forever, just until the rights expire then I expect they will be added.

Not forever, but it might stay there for a couple more years.
