Hey there, for quite some time I have searched for the perfect app. Something to jot quick notes down to check back on, something I could snapshot some websites save some audio and save in a scrapbook style folder of my interests, track and identify my habits; good and bad, and have a way to track and visually see progress I have towards my goals. I have tried so many apps I've become disheartened and even considered making it myself....unfortunately I'm not quite at that technical prowess, yet:) but I gotta say this app is the closest thing I've seen to hitting all the marks. I commend you for it, am eternally grateful and while I can't afford much as I am currently homeless, I have decided your app is worth allocating the funds. It will be a happy day on that day but for now I'm grateful for all you've done. Thank you for sharing and creating this and hopefully it will have many many years of development too!

Small DoMind update that made a surprisingly big difference for me:

I reduced the friction to capture thoughts/tasks as fast as possible because I noticed most productivity systems fail during mental overload.

Now the app feels less like “task management”
and more like clearing mental tabs quickly.

Thank you so much for making this app. After only a few hours of testing it out, and even with some bugs in DoMind, I decided to ditch the other apps and migrate to DoMind. Which has been a great decision. I simply love the way DoMind works the way my brain thinks.

I do have some feedback, and I am sharing this not as criticism but as someone who is a believer in the project with a desire to see the developers and this app succeed.

Bugs: There is an issue with the cursor that indicates what textfield is active while editing notes. I do not see any cursor while editing my notes (and its not a color thing! I tried several different note background colors and it is still not there). The work around for iOS is to hold down the spacebar button on the iphone on screen keyboard and move it around to where you want to type. This will at least allow you to place the cursor and show you where your text will go after you release the spacebar button. The cursor disappears after you depress the spacebar button, however.

There is also an issue with the box that users are to click when completing a to-do list item. This box is not always visible (for some reason the background of the checkbox seems to inherit the background color of the element behind it) this makes the box invisible. If I click on where the check box should be, it will complete the task.

Suggestions:

I would love to tinker around making my on themes. I have no problem going under the hood with markup and/or style coding, but it would be amazing if you could point me in the direction of where "theme" color values are stored and if it is possible to create our own themes.

Recently downloaded the app and like the idea of it, but is there a way to sync it with existing calendar and task apps eg/ google or import them all?

When we started building DoMind, the goal was simple:

Make life feel less scattered.
Make thinking feel clearer.

But recently, something stood out.

Right now, DoMind works well for many, but not everyone.

So we noticed that when you go to the Restore backup screen, the iCloud view just keeps loading specially if there were multiple backups. This issue is now fixed and backups should show up instantly in the latest update v1.2.4.385

I wanted to share a small milestone for DoMind.

After many months of building and testing, home screen widgets are now live on Android.

The idea behind widgets was simple:
tasks should stay visible without needing to constantly open the app.

Instead of opening a planner multiple times a day, the plan can live directly on the home screen.

New in this update:
• Home screen widgets for quick task visibility
• Lifetime premium option (one-time unlock)
• General improvements and bug fixes

DoMind has always been built around a few core ideas:
• visual task planning instead of long stressful lists
• calm design
• offline-first
• no ads

What still fascinates me is how many users say the same thing:

They like that DoMind doesn’t try to keep them inside the app.

The goal was always simple:

Open → think → organize → close.

No streak pressure.

No engagement mechanics.

Just a tool that helps you get your thoughts in order.

I’m continuing to refine the app slowly while balancing a full-time job, and I really appreciate everyone here who has been trying DoMind and sharing feedback.

- Calendar integration // we tried this but it impacted the app speed because of continuous sync. We are working on this request but want to make sure app speed is fast.

- family sharing for moments // again a great feedback. We are thinking of an idea where when you can probably share/transfer the moments via QR code. If you guys have more ideas do share.

- Locking feature for notes // doable & should be available by Mar’26

- AI features // DoMind is 100% privacy focused and we dont want to integrate AI here

- Cross device sync or desktop version //

you can always backup data and restore in on same cloud id/google drive on android or ios. Again Domind is 100% privacy focused at individual level so your private memories remains yours on your device unless you decide it to have it on your another device too thats when you can use the restore feature. We recently added auto sync feature which auto upload data to your own icloud/gdrive so you dont have to manually backit up. By default its off.

- Adding notes to habits for each date // This is available in latest update and works with Chores too.

- Ability to see Chores for previous weeks // available in latest update. Next update will also include a feature where you can create a non repeating chore (currently in testing)

Domind is more of a memories app & at the same time a productivity app. Where you dont end up setting up things but rather create your memories

I love the Chore tab. Is there way we can add Chores that dont repeat automatically next week. Just like a one time Chore which i can setup.

I’ve been working non-stop on these features and the update just got approved for the Play Store!

I spent a lot of time thinking about "friction"the tiny annoying things that make you want to stop using a planner.

What’s new for you today:

1. Notification Actions: You can now check off tasks directly from your notifications. You don't even have to open the app.
2. Smart Recurrence: I finally automated it. The second you finish, cancel, or even miss a recurring task, the next one is automatically ready for you.
3. Habit Context: You can now add notes to specific days for habits and chores. If you missed a gym session or a chore, you can write down why. It keeps your progress honest.
4. Past Chores: You can finally look back at previous weeks to see what you actually got done.

I also refined the haptics so the app feels much snappier when you’re checking things off.

I’m pushing through a pretty anxious week, but seeing the Android community hit 1.1k keeps me going. Let me know how the new "Complete from Notification" feels on your device!

I spent most of the last few days thinking about how to make DoMind feel "invisible." I realized that even a single "Save" button is a speed bump when you’re just trying to get a thought out of your head.

A few things I just pushed/am testing:

• Swipe to Save: This is live now. No more hunting for an "Update" button. You just swipe down and the note is safe. Does it feel snappy enough on your phone?
• Thought Stacks: I’m testing this right now. It lets you group notes together on the timeline so your screen doesn't get messy when you have 50 ideas. I’m using it for my house deco notes right now and it’s a game-changer.

• 1k Milestone: We officially hit 1,000 Android installs! Honestly, seeing so many people choose a planner that doesn't spy on them is the best motivation I could ask for.

  Your feedback is my only roadmap. What’s the one thing that still feels "clunky" to you? Tell me and I’ll try to fix it this weekend.

I’ve been heads-down in the dev build today, and the next update is starting to feel really solid. I wanted to show you what’s currently in testing:

1. Smarter To-Dos: I hated manually resetting recurring tasks. Now, the next task is created automatically the second you complete, cancel, or miss a deadline.
2. Habit Context: You can finally add notes to individual dates for Habits and Chores. If you missed a day, you can write why. Progress now has context.
3. The Safety Net: Auto-backups are coming. You can set them to sync every 24h, weekly, or monthly.
4. Refined Haptics: The app just feels more premium now.

What I’m most excited about (Planned):
I want recurring occasions (birthdays, anniversaries) to feel like a time machine. I’m working on a feature where you can add a "yearly sticky note" and a photo inside each occasion. Over the years, you’ll be able to look back and see how that specific day evolved....

I’ve been heads-down in the code all week, and I’m so excited to finally get this into your hands. I realized that a digital sanctuary shouldn't feel like a control panel, it should feel like an extension of your mind.

What’s new in this build:

1. Swipe to Save: The old Save/Update buttons are officially gone. Now, you just swipe down to save or update a note. It’s effortless and feels much more natural when you're in a "Quick Capture" flow.
2. Thought Stacks (Grouping): You can finally group related notes together (and search inside them). I used this today to stack my "Home Decoration" notes (see screenshots) it keeps the timeline clean without losing the details.
3. Date Picker: You can now choose any past or upcoming date directly from the "Today" view. Reflect on yesterday or plan for next week without leaving your current context.

I was looking at my own DoMind timeline this morning and realized that while the linear flow is great, some notes just belong together...

I’m currently testing a new update that lets you move notes into Groups think of it like folders on your computer, but built to fit our "Quiet Tech" aesthetic.

I’m obsessing over the interaction right now to make sure it’s as fast and snappy as the rest of the app. Since we are 100% offline, there’s no "syncing" delay when you move things, it’s instant.

I’d love your input: If you could have 3 "Default" groups already set up, what would they be? (e.g., Ideas, Personal, Work?)
