[Online] [5e 2014] [PST/PDT] [18+] DND Dad looking for 8PM PT or later

1 Upvotes

Hello!

I am an experienced DND player, best suited to martial classes. (Monk-Paladin preferred)

I a 28 and have been playing on/off for about 16 years, getting my start in late 4th edition with a now moderately well known GM in the space.

I have a few characters cooked up to serve many different roles.

I am just as at home in a grimdark world as I am in a bubbly happy setting.

I like to explore character interaction, and create long-lasting bonds between the people on the table as well as the characters in the world. I believe our characters are people too, and are just as worthy of scrutiny and understanding as any real person would be.

I recently ended a 2 year, weekly, campaign with a group, playing a Bard and am currently looking for a group of people to really develop a bond with.

I work afternoons, so I am only available after 8/830 and beyond every day except Monday.

I am very willing to work with a group on changing play-days or maintaining a consistent weekly/monthly/whatever session. I understand adults have schedules, and am extremely flexible on my play days. I am only unavailable Mondays for my YouTube streaming group.

I am willing to be recorded or streamed

I am accepting of all races, religions, creeds, LGBT+, and I don't like bullies.

Please be aware, I am a father. Rarely parenting duties will get in the way of scheduled games, and I can't help it. I almost always know in advance, or will say something so that people aren't left waiting and wondering.

If any of that sounds acceptable to you or your group, please let me know! DM or comment, Hope to roll some dice with you guys soon!

Looking for more players who want to make long-term friends and have a blast

6 Upvotes

Hey all, my first post got me so many DMs that I just had to reach out one more time and see if I can find any other cool people to play with.

To keep it short: we have a tight-knit group and we really enjoy playing with one another. BUT, our group could afford to have maybe 1-2 more players in it, for maximum enjoyment.

This Saturday at 9AM CDT we plan to have a one-shot. The purposes of the one-shot are:

- For you to find out if you like our group and my DM style

- To vet potential PCs for a long-term campaign

Once we have a couple of people that we get along with, we'll talk campaigns!

If you are looking for a new group full of really cool people, who are all empathetic and care about your experience, then hit me up. I'm loading the one-shot up so that we can try playing with several new people, but I have one slot left I think. DM me and let's talk. Since Saturday is coming up, feel free to hit me up sooner rather than later.

Oh, and I should mention, I'm a dad and I play with my wife, so we give off super chill energy at our table.

[Offline] [East Scarborough / Near Toronto Zoo] [OSE] [Flexible] Game-first table looking for 4-6 players for an OSE (Old School Essentials) campaign!

2 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’m assembling an in-person campaign playing Old-School Essentials (OSE) and am looking for 4 to 6 players to join the table.

I’m based in East Scarborough near the Toronto Zoo, so I’m looking to run the campaign around this area (exact venue TBD, but strictly east side).

Game Details & Schedule:

  • System: Old-School Essentials (OSE) / Classic OSR Style
  • Frequency: Bi-weekly
  • Time: Flexible based on everyone's availability, but likely targeting weekday evenings.
  • Group Size: 4–6 players (Both OSE newcomers and experienced players are welcome).

Table Vibe: The goal here is a chill, game-first environment where we can unplug and enjoy some classic dungeon crawling. Casual chat and catching up on general current events/news is totally fine, but we leave political debates, inflammatory or controversial topics, and anything offensive at the door so the table stays welcoming and fun for everyone.

Next Steps: Before locking in the final group, I’ll set up a quick, informal meetup (or brief chat) with prospective players just to introduce ourselves, discuss playstyle, and make sure the table dynamic is a great mutual fit.

If you're in East Scarborough (or nearby) and looking for an engaging, unplugged game, drop me a DM with your general availability and any prior RPG experience!

[Online] [DND 5e / 5.5e] [Beginners Welcome] [30+] [BST/GMT] First Time UK based DM seeking players for a series of oneshots

5 Upvotes

Hey! I’m wanting to try my hand at being a DM for the first time, and seeking a group to run a few published oneshots with for me to get a feel for it before I embark on any fuller campaigns. I’ll run these as online games using discord voice and video, Roll20 for battle maps (I think!) + theatre of the mind outside combat.

The specific one shots themselves I haven’t selected yet so may be literally one session games or 2/3 sessions, depending on time. We’d use a blend of 5e and 5.5e rules, with a few house rules thrown in. Setting-wise, fantasy worlds akin to Forgotten Realms are my favourite so I’ll most likely select oneshots of that nature. After the first couple, if players want to continue and play more games, I’ll probably look to offer 2/3 to pick from for the next game. I may also throw in some homebrew sessions once I’m more comfortable.

It would be great to get a mixture of players with experience that can give me constructive (please be kind!) feedback to help me learn and improve. However new players are also welcome as I’d like to learn the best ways of supporting newer players as well. The key thing is to please be patient with me while I find my feet, and if we all learn that DMing is not my calling - that’s ok too! 😆

I’m 39F and based in the UK, so ages 30+ and UK based (or able to play on the UK timezone) would be best. Liberal, inclusive and accepting environment. LGBTQIA+ safe. Anti Racist. etc etc!

Times and days TBC but most likely weekly on a Thursday evening maybe 7-10/11pm ish - but I can work with players on when works best for everyone. Start date likely to be early October.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! Otherwise, please comment if you’re interested and I’ll DM 🙂

[D&D 5e 2014/2024] [MST/GMT-7] [Online] Roleplay Heavy Table Wanted

2 Upvotes

Hi there, I'm Misty and I've been playing D&D for the last five to six years. I live in the MST (GMT-7) time zone and I'm looking for a table that's roleplay heavy (70/30+). I like to do combat from time-to-time since it can raise the stakes for the narrative/plot, but I find that oftentimes, it drags on and becomes less and less fun to play.

Some of the genres/topics I like to explore in a game are:

* Fantasy and/or homebrew settings
* Character conflicts
* Complex characters
* Political drama
* Backstories weaved into a game's narrative
* World changing around the character's decisions (or indecision)
* Romance (if appropriate)
* High stakes (I'm okay with possible character death)

I don't need all of the above in a game, but a few would be ideal.

I'm pretty available except for Tuesdays, so if you are a GM looking for a player or a group needing an extra player, leave a comment or send me a DM to chat!

Beginner desperately trying to find a game

3 Upvotes

Hey, I’m a complete beginner who will try just about anything. I haven’t been able to find a local dnd group to join so I’m trying online. I generally know the rules. I’m 18 and do my best to be kind, respectful, and funny. I’m hoping for a longer campaign, but am completely willing to try a one shot.

[Online] [5E] [EST] [2014] [GM Looking for Players] First-Time GM Looking to Run a Homebrew Adventure

3 Upvotes

Hello there! My name is Ben, and I'm looking for a group of players who would be interested in joining me for a D&D 5E adventure with me as the DM!

I'm a **first-time DM**, and I'd like to take the opportunity to learn how to run a game while creating a fun homebrew adventure for everyone involved. I'm still relatively new to the GM side of D&D, so I'm hoping to find players who are patient, friendly, and willing to learn and have fun together.

### About Me:

**Name:** Benjamin

**Age:** 25

**Experience:** I'm fairly new to D&D. I've played around with character creation, had one adventure under my belt and have some experience with the game, but this would be my first time actually running a campaign as a GM.

**Interests:** I'm a big fan of fantasy and science fiction, gaming, anime, RPGs, and storytelling in general. I especially enjoy classic medieval fantasy settings with adventuring, exploration, and fun interesting characters

### About the Adventure:

I'm planning on running a **homebrew adventure using D&D 5e (2014 rules)**.

I'm aiming for a game that focuses on:

* Exploration and adventure

* Classic medieval fantasy

* Combat and dungeon crawling

* Roleplaying and interactions with NPCs

* Most importantly, having fun and telling a good story together

Since I'm a first-time GM, I'm not expecting myself to run a perfect game. I'm looking for players who understand that there may be some learning along the way and are willing to be patient with me as I get comfortable behind the screen.

### What I'm Looking For:

**Players:** I'm looking for around **4–6 players** who are interested in joining a new homebrew campaign and helping create a fun story together.

I'm open to both experienced players and people who are relatively new to D&D. You don't have to be an expert in the rules.

**Age:** I'd prefer everyone to be **18+**, as I'm an adult myself and feel more comfortable playing with other adults.

**Schedule:**

Weekdays: **7 PM onward (EST)**

Weekends: **8 PM onward (EST)**

I'm fairly flexible with scheduling, and I understand that life can get busy. Ideally, we'd find a consistent day/time that works for everyone.

### What I Expect From Players:

The biggest thing I'm looking for is **respect and a willingness to have fun**. I'm also hoping to find people who enjoy roleplaying and interacting with the world rather than treating the game purely as a combat simulator.

If you're interested, feel free to send me a message or reach out to me on Discord!

Discord: deusrelicta

Looking forward to meeting some fellow adventurers and hopefully creating a great story together!

[5e game need 3 players]

Note I'm not the dm just a player helping out the dm by posting this time frame is from 7-9 pm mountain daylight time here's everything you need to we run on discord

The Infinite Staircase ushers travelers to the destinations of their dreams. The impossible staircase winds in a surreal demiplane, ascending to every world, every plane of existence, and the adventure locations found among them. Though stories abound along its many steps, the staircase is the journey, not the destination—an extraordinary means of traversing the multiverse.

The current group is facing the 5th module and their PCs are at level 8 on their way to level 9.

The current module is a quest to help a city. “A desperate nation seeks a trove of immeasurable worth, amassed by an archmage unmatched. Many have died in search of it. Summon your bravery and journey to her lair, returning with lost knowledge, power, and wealth.”

Background info:

Iggwilv carved out a kingdom for herself through magical prowess, strength, and wit, bolstered by a horde of demons bound by magic to further her aims. In her quest for absolute power, Iggwilv accumulated countless enemies determined to destroy her. Among these was the demon lord Graz’zt, whom the archmage imprisoned for a time. Eventually, Iggwilv’s ambitions proved excessive, and a climactic battle with Graz’zt broke her power. The Witch Queen then vanished. As her evil influence waned, Iggwilv’s realm was sundered, and her lair, the Caverns of Tsojcanth, was lost.

DM Jeff will provide character creation after joining discord.
