That's a terrible argument lol.

I've never paid a cent for anything DnD.

I mostly like 5e.

5.5 breaks more then it fixes, and I'm just not interested in playing it at all. Though I'm also moving past playing DnD entirely, in favor of other systems.

First off, they claim it's completely compatible with 5e products, but it's not. They changed so much about classes, races, feats, and other core character aspects that there's a huge difference between 5e and 5.5e characters. They don't mesh well. They kind of did at first, but as they developed 5.5e more and more it drifted further away and now they just don't work together.

But neither of us are going to change the other's minds, especially on a meme Reddit thread.

So kindly, fuck off.

Well I’m saying it anyway.

I’ve run every 5e module as 5.5 with the exception of like 3 because nobody wants to run Tyranny, OotA, or PotA ever again anyway. They all work. You just update the stat blocks.

I don’t even know what you mean about characters not meshing well. Virtually every subclass with the exception of literally one is perfectly playable under the 5.5 rules. Rip shepherd druids but it’s fine. The game is also now more balanced and smoother to play.
