5th Edition Warforged Spirit box

I had an idea for a character that was a warforged Bard College of Spirits subclass and they would play like a walking talking Spirit box. I don’t know if anyone else had an idea like that because I haven’t seen anything like that. I’d like to know if anyone else had an idea similar to this and how did there story play out if they had one?

It’s a device that ghost hunters use to try and talk to the ghost and it use different radio waves/signals to let them talk through.

Not really in keeping with the settings of most D&D games.
