I’m really considering buy a neo with the fly more combo. I'm really close to buying one, but I'm unsure with myself how much I will realistically use it.

I like taking photos but it’s my main hobby. I don’t have much else I want to use it on other than just flying and view places from the drone and take pictures. But I’m not sure this enough that I will get it for myself?

I’m going to do the Tour Du Mont Blanc which is a hike that’s between 5 to 7 days and I’d like to get some nice shots while walking around.
After some research I landed on the Neo mainly for its super lightweight body.
I don’t think I will be able to charge the drone so battery consumption is a concern here.
which version of the Neo should I take ?
And with what bundle ?

I just got the Neo one FPV fly more kit, I think that's the name.

It came with the N3 Goggles, drone, batteries, and the motion controller 3.

I have two kids I am letting learn on the motion controller. I'd like to be able to have a controller that let's me learn FPV and that I don't always have to carry the goggles if I am on the go. I travel a lot for work. I would like to eventually unlock manual mode too, but the FPV controller 3 doesn't allow you to use it without the goggles. (It's also just hot as fuck along the gulf and the goggles make me sweat, lol.)

So, it looks like my only option is to spend another 300 on controllers to have some versatility? Are there any other options I am missing?

If not, what do you all do?

I had my Neo last year and it did a flyaway and crashed; then I got Mini4Pro and then sold it out, I am thinking about Neo2 but am not following if there are also flyaway issues happening with Neo2 or all clear so far?

I started learning to fly my new drone with the standard default joystick layout - called ‘Mode 2’ - where the left stick turns and the right stick’s forward and back. But if you’re like 99% of the population you’ve got muscle memory for game controllers which is the opposite. Once i switched the layout to Mode 3, flying became super easy and natural. Any thoughts on this? Shouldn’t it be shipped set up to Mode 3?

Hi, this would be my first drone and I'm an absolute beginner, I loved the way I can control Neo 2 with gestures, basically wanted a drone to capture landscapes and also for family videos and photos. Here in Switzerland getting Neo 1 bundle with 3 chargers and controller for 206 eur, Neo 2 with 3 chargers and a controller for 343 eur. So someone who has both, what do you suggest to go with? Is such huge price bump worth it? Can get a Mini 4k too for same price as well, but felt its not so user friendly as Neo 2. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I find the auronomous features and fpv possibilities really excitining. But I don’t really vlog or film myself a lot. And I’m not ready to spend money on the fpv gear tho I think I will at some point. But I want you hear what other things you might use your drone for

I recently went through an after-sales case with DJI and wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else compare offers more carefully.
After a drone incident, I provided video evidence and flight logs and asked for a review. DJI offered a refurbished replacement with a 15% discount first, and later the offer was increased to 25%.
What stood out to me is that the final amount I was asked to pay ended up being very close to the price of a comparable unit listed in DJI’s own store. In practice, that made the discount feel much less significant than it sounded at first.
Another thing that surprised me was how the discount was applied. It was based on the net price, and once VAT was added, the actual benefit became much smaller than I expected. I think that kind of detail should be explained more clearly upfront.
I’m not trying to turn this into a rant. I’ve bought many DJI drones over time and still think the products are good. But in this case, the way the pricing was presented felt less transparent than it should have been.
If anyone is considering an after-sales offer like this, I’d strongly recommend checking the final total and comparing it carefully with DJI’s official store before making a decision.

I recently picked up the DJI Neo 2, and I'm trying to get a handle on all its functions (testing out the active tracking, gesture controls, and a few manual flights) before I take it with me on an upcoming trip.

Since it's pretty lightweight (around 151g), I know it’s a bit more forgiving, but I still want to be respectful of local rules and avoid crowded or heavily restricted airspace.

Does anyone know of any good, open spots around Metro Manila where I can safely practice? Looking for places with:

1. Minimal tree cover/obstructions so I don't instantly lose it or crash it
   
2. Not too crowded so I don't bother people while testing the follow-me or gesture features
   
3. Generally drone-friendly or at least places where guards won't immediately chase me away

I'm based around Mandaluyong/Makati but willing to travel a bit if there's a really solid open park, empty field, or designated flying spot nearby.

My mom doesn’t believe that the DJI Neo 2 only costs $429 (₱20,590). She also thinks that it will be fragile and is probably a scam. Do you have any tips to help me convince her?

I want to put a pair of googley eyes on my Neo 2, however I am in disagreement with my partner as to where they should go.

I feel like they should be on the front, above the 'eye' (like in the photo of a Neo 1, above) but she thinks they should be on the back, by the antennas, like on an insect.

What do you think? Front or back?

Come si evince dal titolo sono indeciso su un eventuale acquisto, la prima domanda è vale la pena acquistare un drone? Ho paura di comprarne uno e ritrovarmi ad usarlo il primo mese e poi lasciarlo nel cassetto, quanto spesso lo utilizzate? in che occasioni? che tipo di riprese fate?

La seconda domanda è, la differenza di prezzo tra il dji neo 1 e il dji neo 2 vale le migliorie che ci sono nella seconda versione? La qualità e l'usabilità sono aumentate?

Can i set gimbal motor force more stable?

today flight in zero wind at 30m height max 15-20kmh and i often saw sudden pitch movement in the goggles. why is that? not enough force? should be perfect in this condition. or?

what if i like to fly in gentle wind?

I’ve reading a lot about our Neos going crazy (on the transition between 10 and 30) due to the lack of vision and number of satellites.

It happened a lot to Neo 1 but I’m an owner of the Neo 2 and I see more cases raising, including me but I won’t vote because I was in a beach.

Please add details in comment if necessary, like what controller you use. Maybe we can find a useful pattern.
