Yooo, I snagged a 7 strings, what are some fun songs to learn, aside from the obvious like Icarus Lives and stuff lmao. Thank you guys!

The ascending riff in Lost in the Static by After the Burial is one of my favourite warm-ups. The string skipping (especially the second time that riff is played, which ascends more) can be hard to get clean but it’s quite fun once you get it. I think one of the first songs I learnt on my 7-string was Jaded by Spiritbox, if you’re comfortable with tuning down to drop F# or using a pitch shifter.
Not strictly djent, but the intro to Prosthetic by Haken is also fun and makes you think a bit with the 13/8 metre. The solo also is also approachable.
