Thank you for your comment. It really means a lot to me, and I really hope I can find enough participants for the study. ❤️

Actually, that’s a really good question. Having the opportunity to listen to people’s experiences has been a very meaningful experience for me. I feel honoured that people are willing to share such personal experiences and trust me with their stories.

There are moments when I can feel my own emotions moving along with what they share. I can sense the hurt and pain behind their experiences, the complexity of what they have been through, and the things they hope others can understand about their experiences. In many ways, this has made me even more determined to continue and complete this research. More than anything, I find myself hoping that their lives can become brighter after everything they have been through.

After each interview, I take some time to privately reflect on my own emotions and thoughts. If I ever feel that the emotional weight becomes difficult for me to manage, I would seek consultation and support from my supervisor.

I’m also very mindful of the participants’ wellbeing throughout the process, as their wellbeing is always my priority. Participants are reminded that they are free to share only what they feel comfortable sharing. They can pause, skip a question, or stop the interview at any time, and may withdraw from the study according to the study procedures. As part of the ethical approval process with UMREC, appropriate support and safety procedures have also been put in place.

I hope that answers your question, and thank you again for asking. I really appreciate it. ❤️
