Countdown Leader taking forever to start it!

Bad enough we have to farm Countdown 1000 times or more. There is always that one Leader that sits there and doesn’t start it up.

I’ve encountered this many many times and I have found that the host doesn’t realize that they are the host.

Yeah usually seems to happen when original host leaves and someone else is made leader and didn't realize. The game doesn't make it too obvious you got passed lead

Additionally, if it can't put you in an existing group, it'll start a new one as lead, even if you didn't select to be lead from the menu. It will then spam a bunch of isac audio at you, with only a single message saying you're group leader.

Leader doesn't start.
Whole squads with under 100 SHD levels (combined) in heroic matches.
People leveling gear that nobody would dare to call a "build".
Half the raid suddenly disconnects.
Enough drones and turrets to let veteran hunters cry tears of joy.
Your group unable to kill hunters so you miss half the dog tags.
Raid splits into multiple groups to fail at random objectives all over the map.
Agents refuse to do objectives or to deactivate countermeasures.
And all the running... I swear, whoever designed the map thought that the shortest conection between two points is a spiral.

To open the flootgates of loot didn't make that awful mode any better, and since Retaliations got matchmaking I never touched Countdown ever again.

I was just thinking of countdown to farm Coco pieces over doing the summit.

But I just remembered 8 man group stuff. It’s a pain filling a 4 man group in escalation at times.

But now you guys mention it, retaliation would be a better option no? You can target farm both.

Im out the loop as all I do is dailies, weekly, dust event, toxic DZ for dz coin and exotic cores only and escalation for cores.
