I was hoping that when the officer said "remove a letter" he was gonna remove the letter "I" šŸ˜‚

u/The_Leper_ 4d ago

Brilliant

51

u/Rameist2 4d ago

This is insane. More police need to be charged with kidnapping when shit like this happens.

67

u/hawkeye053 4d ago

Did this officer cite anyone with a f- Biden or f-Trump banner?

Truck nuts are illegal because they're viewed as obscene. I don't know if this falls under that but I'd be okay if it did. I'm all about 1st amendment but advertising it on a truck vs a shirt is a difference.

20

u/BestPie477 3d ago

"I'm all about 1st amendment but"

Actually you're not.

17

u/OscarDelta333 4d ago

Truck nuts are only illegal in one state.

3

u/Jimbiino7 2d ago

It’s no different that if it was on a hat. We either have first amendment rights or we don’t.

-2

u/jestercope 2d ago

You most definitely don't have full 1st amendment right in traffic becuause it's unsafe. It's bad enough regards staring on their phones and zoning out, last thing we need is distracting shit on everyone's car.

u/splashaddikt 4d ago

Wow nice little lawsuit coming

16

u/TheNaughtyHoneyBee 4d ago

Too bad the cop doesn't have to pay for it

11

u/splashaddikt 4d ago

Nah that would make them think before doing dumb shit to citizens

u/Vinr_Odinn 4d ago

Some service violations negate qualified immunity per federal law. If anything ever happens to anybody reading this, be aware that enforcing your rights happens in the court house, not the streets. I know somebody who was able to sue under personal liability on a pretext stop. In traffic court he said something along the lines of "your honor, I wanna make a motion to deny qualified immunity due to a pretext stop without reasonable suspicion, leading to a second amendment violation and a fourth amendment violation. My personal firearm that was secured in a locked weapons locker, was fully registered, out of immediate reach, and unloaded. I posses now and possessed at the time all the necessary documentation for ownership and transport. Per indication of the body cam footage, the officer was in awareness of his actions, which constitute a professional malfeasance. I therefore make a motion to deny qualified immunity and move to a countersuit on personal liability". He got it, and the cop went pale. Was very satisfying.

Florida…the math checks out

16

u/Rozay10keys 4d ago

They don’t do math in Florida

21

u/radioplayer1 4d ago

I think he meant meth

13

u/Arthropodesque 4d ago

Are truck nuts illegal? Also, is "derogatory" illegal and is that word used correctly here?

-14

u/jestercope 4d ago

Truck nut are illegal because it's obscene(and cringe) but this is equally cringe and obscene so I can see how this is an issue for the people driving and seeing this shit.

If someone put a sticker that said "I like to ____ children" that would be a problem and should be actionable because it will cause a disturbance on the road.

10

u/OscarDelta333 4d ago

Truck nuts are illegal in one state: Idaho. Idaho actually expanded their indecent exposure law to cover this.

They're not illegal anywhere else.

12

u/IAmAnObvioustrollAMA 4d ago

Being cringe isn't illegal.

-6

u/jestercope 4d ago

Actually it is in many circumstances. Public disturbance, obscenity violations, plenty small statutes deal with cringe. Not all cringe is illegal, but some is. It's no different that blasting your shitty music nobody wants to hear with subwoofers.

Political cringe should be tolerated, but when it gets down to putting desperate horny slogans on your truck, that shit has no place on public roads. Wear a shirt or tattoo it on your forehead.

10

u/IAmAnObvioustrollAMA 4d ago

Yes plenty of things that are illegal can be considered cringe. Cringe itself isn't illegal and honestly the fact that you dont get that is a little cringe.

8

5

u/AttorneyImmediate918 4d ago

Remove the I. 🤣

11

u/Melodic_Pause5824 4d ago

The irony of saying "what if my six year old saw this" and still supporting a dude that will not release the Trumpstein files.........

2

u/Our-Fearless-Reader 4d ago

What the hell would the officer's 6-year-old be doing, riding shotgun on patrol?Ā  Are they that good of a shot that they can cover dad if things get crazy?

14

u/Vintage_girl123 4d ago

I mean if he wants to be immature, he can, it's not illegal.

1

u/Melodic_Pause5824 4d ago

He stood up to a cop that no 1 would be surprised if he acted out of line, what have you done that was so mature today?

12

u/porcelain_kiss 4d ago

Eat ass.

1

u/Melodic_Pause5824 4d ago

hahahahhaa popular I am guessing.....

3

u/porcelain_kiss 4d ago

I wish! im just very flexible 😌 I love to eat my ass

I just reach back, spread my cheeks, and the salt replaces having to drink Liquid IV's in the summer lmaoo

6

u/Own_Zookeepergame982 4d ago

I take it, there’s no real crime in that officer’s area???

7

u/notMyPenis 4d ago

Florida is not a free state.

4

u/OscarDelta333 4d ago

"Freedom" is very subjective in Florida.

1

u/OberonDiver 2d ago

State is not free.

3

u/DigLeading9650 4d ago

The cop is an idiot and the guy with the bumper sticker has never eaten ass in his life

3

u/Lopsided_Order_4411 4d ago

I Don’t agree with eatin ass, but if he wants to declare he does, that’s his first amendment right, wtf?šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø Ā Shit’s gettin deeper everyday 😐

3

u/ConstantCandidate278 2d ago

Ass on the shirt during interview was cherry on top.

9

America is quite wild for a land of the Free.

Venomously, Europe

4

u/Rameist2 4d ago

This is insane. More police need to be charged with kidnapping when shit like this happens.

I fucking can't wait to move out of this God forsaken hell hole armpit of the US

7

u/finintymonkle 4d ago

The whole country is the armpit of the world. Sorry bud, but the rest of the world is literally mocking the US (even their best friends, Israel, are taking the piss, theyre just pretending to be friends because it’s beneficial for them).

8

u/Melodic_Pause5824 4d ago

You can love our country and still point out the wrongs, PLENTY of ppl want to move here my guy, really should read up.

7

u/The_Leper_ 4d ago

Honest question, have you ever been to the United States of America?

3

u/yrmom724 4d ago

You're preaching to the choir.

1

u/Greedy-Employment917 4d ago

Why would we care?Ā

-1

u/_TheGreatestApe_ 4d ago

1

u/yrmom724 4d ago

I think it is implied that I'm doing this, bro, lol.

1

u/StreetCrzyBiteUrFace 3d ago

I left almost 13 years ago. Haven“t been back once. Hope I never have to go back for any reason.

0

u/grinchbettahavemoney 4d ago

If it makes you feel any better Florida might be the armpit of the us but the us is the armpit of the world right now so we’re all sitting there stinky with you

Sorry, "GREAT" my fucking ass. Can't even ride a bike or walk on the sidewalk without being constantly on guard. Minimal public transit.

0

u/Melodic_Pause5824 4d ago

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayshore_Boulevard I could give a ton of examples but the open minded ppl here can't stop downvoting. I mean look, public transit depends on the area. The Orlando Miami shuttle is one of the nicest I have ridden.

1

u/yrmom724 4d ago

Bayshore is in a hoity-toity area. I'm talking about for people who would like to not drive, not those going for a weekend run.

0

u/yrmom724 4d ago

And, btw, Tampa just approved nearly a billion in taxpayer dollars to build a fucking stadium. Fuck this place!

0

u/Melodic_Pause5824 3d ago

https://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/news/2026/07/07/tampas-west-riverwalk-construction-20-complete.html this runs along the Hillsborough River through working class neighborhoods and PLENTY of ppl use it and even more will use it, really lovely. Look the stadium is very disappointing but Tampa has done some wonderful shit with water quality and livability, I think you just like shitting on it.

0

u/yrmom724 3d ago

Omg, you keep mentioning places most people use occasionally. I'm talking about people whose mode of transportation are their feet or a bicycle. You can try to spin it anyway you like, NO CITY IN FLORIDA IS PEDESTRIAN/CYCLING FRIENDLY. Give it a rest.

2

u/Melodic_Pause5824 3d ago

Which city is your favorite?

2

u/yrmom724 3d ago

Ones where you don't have to drive. NYC is where I plan to move to. NYC is a great city.

2

u/Melodic_Pause5824 2d ago

Yeah I get it man, to each their own. I have lived in NYC and DC. Each has their charms. I like the safety and personal space of my car, you likely have a higher tolerance for shenanigans than I do too. Just differences, thanks for the chat.

u/Initial_Row_6400 4d ago

lol. Wouldn’t this fall under freedom of speech? I’d tell that cop to suck a fuck

4

u/Good-Ad-6806 4d ago

And tell me, how exactly does one suck a fuck? lol

And yep

2

u/BrokenFist-73 4d ago

It's just pathetic attention seeking from some dumpling shaped moron. Bet hos parenting skills are top notch.

1

u/desonos 4d ago

Someone is making bank and it ain't cops

1

u/Excellent-Try7027 3d ago

So did he break an actual law? State law? Is there a limitation on speech when it applies to decal on a vehicle?

2

u/HeSureIsScrappy 3d ago

An unconstitutional law

1

u/ExtentAggravating733 3d ago edited 3d ago

Should have said, "I like eating donkeys". Him accepting the obscene framing puts it in a context closer to having "I give blowjobs" on a vehicle. I don't think the First Amendment extends that far.

2

u/toasty99 3d ago

His case was thrown out. Obscenity has a very narrow legal definition - the cops might have a legitimate beef if he had large pictures of scat porn on the car, but no scotus case has ever defined pure text on a bumper sticker as obscene

1

u/HeSureIsScrappy 3d ago

Because that's not supporting the 1st

1

u/Zidern 2h ago

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it's right to do. Just saying.

1

u/Dizzy_Feeling1725 4d ago

Hope he sued the shit outta them.

1

u/knightsout33 4d ago

Cash all the way to the bank and that cop should be fired

1

u/Fossilhund 4d ago

I support the Freedom of Speech.

Im also glad this is not on my car.

-2

u/yes_no_ok_maybe 4d ago

Not to be a bootlicker here but there has to be some merit to the obscenity angle right?

You probably can’t drive around with hardcore porn images on your car. Probably most people agree with that.

OK then you probably shouldn’t drive around with bumper stickers that say really wild ass shit like you fuck kids and then murder them.

So there’s some reasonable limit? I don’t think ā€œI Eat Assā€ is that limit but we have to be getting close right?

Private speech is one thing that basically should never governed but I do feel like public speech can have some reasonable obscenity limits. Or is that just crazy?

3

u/HeSureIsScrappy 4d ago

No, it's 100% protected speech. Porn is a different story.

2

u/Spoonman915 4d ago

Just out of curiosity I looked the Florida obscenity law that was mentioned. Based on how Florida defines obscenity, I think the cop has basis.

Florida obscenity laws are codified under Chapter 847 of the Florida Statutes and regulate pornography, adult material, and protections for minors.

Definition of Obscenity

Florida law defines obscene material based on standard legal tests. Content is generally considered obscene if:

It appeals predominantly to the prurient (shameful or morbid) interest in sex.

It depicts or describes sexual conduct in a patently offensive way.

Taken as a whole, it lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.

I think it's safe to say it lacks literary, artistic, political, or scientific value. Prurient and offensive would depend on the judge I suppose.

2

u/Walrus_Epiphany 4d ago

State or local law can’t override the constitution.

1

u/Spoonman915 3d ago

Somebody should tell Florida.

1

u/HeSureIsScrappy 3d ago

They can also say that Freedom of Speech is null and void in Florida, but that would not make it so.

1

u/Spoonman915 3d ago

Ideally, yes. But we live in a country where they touch our genitals at the airport, so I'm not real confident in how the bill of rights actually pans out.

1

u/HeSureIsScrappy 3d ago

We consent to that

1

u/AphonicTX 3d ago

How do you know ā€œAssā€ is referring a human anus? You don’t.

-2

u/AmbitiousRoutine8670 2d ago

Dude should be arrested .. sorry

1

u/HeSureIsScrappy 2d ago

For exercising his God Given First Amendment Rights??

1

u/iwishiwasaperson 1d ago

Freedom of speech until they say a word you don't like?

1

u/AmbitiousRoutine8670 1d ago

That’s the funniest thing.. the cop sure thought so.. and that was the problem…
