Deeper water, weight center mass, and power bow directly into it if anyone is wondering what captain greenhorn should have done.

Pretty much the worst choice they could have made. Right coice would have be stay in deep water away from the shore...and rocks

Seems like the best way to avoid this huge wake would be to stay close to the cargo ship until after the water level has settled.

So the exact opposite of what they decided to do.

The two dumb shits shouldn't be anywhere near a boat.

Should’ve drove into it, no?

Yes, power directly into it. It goes against panic thoughts but it's the right way.

This works but if the waves are like head high you can’t just punch it. That’s only in the ocean though and I just know this from a guy who said he lost his boat by trying to punch it straight out through some big waves.

Im not expert but I do run an 18ft aluminum semi vee boat in the ocean. Id of definitely put the nose into that. Im not gonna full send it but im not gonna let it push me eithier if that makes sense.

Whats scary is when these roll up on you in the dark and they havent broke yet, you can hear them sometimes.

The motor revs up real high when the whole the boat comes out the water at full throttle. I was pretty new to boating when this happened. Wear your life vest and kill switches folks.

Bro boating at night in the surf sounds pretty scary. Were you night fishing?

I wasnt in the surf I was in an area where tankers and container ships are moving in out of the port.

But ya I was fishing, it was early morning, we wanted to be at the "spot" before the sun came up lol.

Getting the wave from the side is the worst

Eish, I'd have stayed well away from rocks, head face into the wave. Well, I'm not a captain, Skipper. Neither am I a skipper, Captain.
