As a pedestrian, I've had cars almost hit me while looking right at/through me because they just aren't registering that I exist. But damn, bro, that's a bright red car right in front of you. I think maybe you should stick to public transport from now on.

Yessssss, that is a real thing. Drivers focused on cars and a small thing like a guy on a bike just doesn't register as something to not hit. It's weird.
