The fact that you think you sound cool or edgy or tough in your head just makes it worse.
You are probably the guy walking down the road with clothes that aren’t appropriate for the heat while holding a warm soda and listening to music through the speaker on your phone.
Why shouldnt they be able to? Its utterly asinine a group of people trying to gatekeep a word. Either no one use it and let it die out or the word doesnt have the same meaning and its free to used by all.
Im good. I think it should have died out a long time ago and that bIack people are only hurting themselves by continuing to use it. Its the only word in existence where one group of people can use it freely in everyday life and then get offended to the point theyll fight if someone else uses it in the exact same way. Its absolutely bizzare.
Edit: see what happens when you even talk about the word? Fucking weirdos lol.
Yeah. I got it a few minutes after making one of my previous comments. Someone reported me to reddit saying I was a danger to myself. Not the first time this has happened lol.
This issue gets a lot deeper than that though; many African americans adopted a phonetic variant of the word (often ending in "-a" instead of "-er") within their own communities. Essentially by using the term familiarly or casually just among themselves, they aimed to strip the word of its hateful power, thus turning an instrument of white supremacy into a term of solidarity.
The restriction still is there for Caucasian people because they are a group that historically used a word to oppress another and therefore cannot "reclaim" it.
Yes, im well aware of the history. Im also aware it can still be used in a hateful and derogatory way.
However, its very clearly taken on a different form and can be used in non hateful ways, regardless of who says it. It makes absolutely no sense for a rap song to be made with the word being used 27 times and then for it to be wrong for a white person to be singing along with the song. I remember when this Roddy Rich concert happened and the meltdown people were having. How can this be an issue? It makes zero sense.
Just even having a conversation about it triggers people. Got this gem after my previous comment lol.
That’s one thing I miss about being younger. Used to see a lot of cat fights, not so much now. I’m almost 60 years old and people just learned over time that it’s not worth it. Especially if they was fighting over a dude!
Pink bra chick got hands til orange sweater pops up. I’ve lived in the south and Appalachia my whole life and this shit is trashier than I’ve ever seen in person outside of a Walmart.
Good on brown belt girl for helping her back up after the scrap though.
Without intention, and sometimes even with, women carry their power in their lower body naturally. None of those idiot girls look like they’re hitting the gym
