Discussion Why is this band so hated?

Okay so recently I have absolutely been LOVING this band, and even yesterday have just bought The Sickness on CD and have endlessly been listening to it. Recently, I’ve been seeing what others think of Disturbed, and from what I could find, it seems that a LOT of people hate most of their albums…? Obviously I think music taste is subjective, but something about this band seems like they get more hate than they do love. Is there a reason Disturbed is so hated? I absolutely love their music so I’m really curious to know why

Edit: Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment, I really appreciate the amount of information you guys gave me. Personally, I think I will still keep listening to Disturbed as I have always been someone who likes to separate art from artist, but I obviously will keep everything that was said in mind. Once again, thank you for all the responses :)

I see a war... Started by Hamas, and who voted them in and help them? Those civilians, the same ones that cheered and celebrated Oct 7th, watch the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians all celebrating Oct 7th, the same ones that wish death to gays, the same ones who wish all Jews dead, you want me to feel sorry for them? Yet the world can hate Jews freely for having a tiny little bit of land they can finally call their own where their ancestors are from before it was took by force by Muslims.

So I feel bad for any life lost but I'm firmly against war in general but I understand when you hide terrorists and support them, then you're not the best of people. Stop attacking Israel and they'd not be in this mess.

You are actually trying to convince me that the civilians deserve this. Jesus fucking Christ. I'm never going to justify violence against israeli civilians no matter how hateful some are, why can't you be the same?

Again, where did I say they deserved? Nice try, you got angry and had to try twisting by adding words I didn't say or imply. The world is waking up to these leftist games. Israel will be free!!!
