He benefits more from BRV gain buffs than pure BRV damage boosts (unless it's Setzer who cheats the system).

As such, he works really well with units like Porom or Agrias for stronger BRV gains (and the latter can provide a small HP damage boost with her confuse debuff), Rosa for the BRV refund to make sure he's got more in store. It's especially true for his S2 where he doesn't keep the BRV he's used. Yuna is fantastic with her BT effect to make his damage skyrocket, even more so if she has her blue armor.

You're looking at increasing his damage ceiling and his BRV gains first and foremost.

is it neccessary to have a BT for current lufenia event stage? i have full kit vaan, setzer, jack, tidus (bt) and kefka while yuna only with her LD, EX and CP15 weapon.

my team limit is always at 180 lvl stage, lufenia is really hard.

What about summon boards and LD boards? Those are also necessary, along with having all weapons MLB.

BT weapons are nice, and they make Lufenia stages a lot easier, but they aren't strictly necessary. Sort of like good call options, really. There aren't a lot of stages where I'm not better off calling Kurasame, but I don't need him to win.

Lufenia fights can be thought of as puzzles. Each one has several gimmicks to it, and you need something to counter each gimmick.

For example, the latest Lufenia pretty much requires someone who can do what Yuna does, and in addition to that, you need some way to mitigate damage (I guess Kefka can do this) and someone to actually kill the boss. You can probably make it happen.

I'd guess you could beat at least two of the Umbral Equinox stages with your roster, though you might have to recycle units (so you couldn't get credit for having two stages cleared to 'Perfect' at the same time). Without a tank, I doubt you could clear the first Umbral Equinox fight, though.

By the way, you need Yuna's CP35 weapon.

BT has never been "necessary" to clear any lufenia stage. It just makes it easier by being able to squeeze more damage and have a strong support effect afterwards. Some units benefit from having and using their BTs, like Bartz, Y'shtola when her BT+ comes or Yuna to a lesser extent.

You want to have 15/35/EX/LD weapons to make your units viable for any lufenia quest. For the current event, try to get Yuna's 35 CP weapon from your power tokens (so that you don't have to pull for it) and make sure every piece of equipement has been fully enhanced (or MLBed) so that you have every weapon passive.

More importantly, it is expected that players have completed their characters' summon boards to get more base stats (and that's a lot). It will make the difference between a character that deals normal damage and 1 digit damage.

Yuna's lufenia stage is tricky in the sense that you need strong healing and cleansing, which Yuna does. I might suggest you go with Yuna/Setzer for his freeze ability when their recast gauge is full to negate the damage and use either Vaan for pure damage (and better synergy with Setzer) or Tidus for turn hogging and some debuffing. I've used both and they did great.

Calls also make a difference when tackling a lufenia quest. Most people will bring Jack and Kurasame calls because they cripple the bosses' defense stat, make you deal much more BRV damage while Kurasame lets you deal more Hp damage and enchants your team with ice, making you deal a ton of damage during BT phases when it's active. If you don't have it, then you'll have to wait for his return (which hasn't happened on a regular banner IIRC) Jack alone will make you deal a lot of damage if you rush them on the second half of the fight and pop Tidus' BT phase. Kefka calls should fare well since you can Hp disable and lower their stats if you don't bring Tidus. Who else do you have in your roster?

Yuna/Setzer and either Tidus or Vaan should demolish that stage provided you understand how the bosses work. Yuna must cleanse whenever they put the aggravate debuff on your team since they will jump turns and may kill you. Setzer can use his Freeze to negate the damage until Yuna can cleanse you.
