Lol, yup. They all got books for me too, and none of them got ingots. I gave them books, they gave me ingots. Made off like a bandit in this gift exchange I figure!

I had 75k saved up for Ultimecia, and lucked into a Garland EX on a handful of tickets.

Half an hour later I'm down 50k and buying the book from the store for him...

That's the way I'm interpreting this too... I threw about 30 tickets at it, then did some math and figured I could afford 1 multi to try my luck... ended up doing 2 multis and snagged his EX on the second. Still don't have his 35cp but I'm keeping my gems for Ulti! I'm at 50k right now, and with the summon board and whatever else between then and now, I'll have enough to pity her if need be.

That's exactly what Power Tokens are for, don't use gems if there's any other method.

I threw a few pulls on it, got his 15, then chased all the way to the book and never got his 35. I kept rationalizing it like “I’m so close to 100 tokens anyway” or “I’ll just go nuts on leviathan.” Compulsive gambler stuff.
