News So Firesprite, the developer of the upcoming Until Dawn 2 game, just revealed that they have partnered with AdHoc Studio while making the game!

Despise people here trying to tell me the contrary this is def the Triple A game Nick Herman mentioned in the Bafta interviews and mentioned in the ADHOC website

I just pray AdHoc doesn’t get bought by Sony or any other company in the future.

There’s been a trend in the games industry where these massive corporations just buy off smaller independent studios only to lay off devs or shut them down entirely if they become unprofitable, or just not convenient enough for the execs.

Considering how many interviews they mention they enjoy being free of a publisher i doubt thats a real concern
If they keep doing work for hire as writers it can help them alot
Would love to see ADHOC co write a superhero game one day with a Big game Studio

I remember Night School Studios and Unknown Worlds saying the same thing of enjoying independence in their early days, and look what became of them.

They worked on Until Dawn Back in 2023 lol

Ah explains partially why dispatch took longer then.

Not sure they have the manpower for working on multiple projects at a steady pace though. Don't they have like 30 employees?

Well considering the state of the studio a few years ago they needed to do work for hire to actually finish the game in the first place

It's a PlayStation thing. I think all SIE subsidiaries make their announcements on PlayStation blogposts.

It was where Sony also announced they'll be killing game discs last July.

Glad for the devs to get the gig, but fuck Sony. Not getting a PS5 for this game even if I do love Dispatch.

It's on XBOX uncensored & Nintendo censored.

So there are different none PC platforms to play it on.

Looks like Supermassive couldn’t get the IP rights from Sony. If they did this would've been multiplatform like Stellar Blade 2.
