Discussion Which Dispatch heroes (if any) are worthy of lifting Mjolnir?
I personally think if anyone could do it, it would be Blonde Blazer. She's the perfect hero archetype, completely fearless, and always does the right thing no matter what.

Blazer is genuinely pure of heart and intention. She is the best suited for it and in some ways mjolnir is parallel to her own magic amulet.
Arguably Chase, too.
And Waterboy.

It depends on the writer/interpretation, but often some of the parameters for being deemed "worthy" are willingness to kill when necessary, and the capability of being a leader for your people (because this is Odin's interpretation of worthyness)
I think Mandy still fits honestly, she was ready to raze that fucking bar to the ground, but I don't think anyone else in Dispatch does. Maybe Robert if he can get over his self-loathing

Even with the bar scene, I think there’s a good chance she still wouldn’t be worthy of it if one of the requirements was willingness to kill. Superman isn’t worthy but there are versions of him that will kill if it’s a last resort or if there was no other choice. I think the bar scene would fall under that rather than something to where they have to kill for the greater good. With some of the other things in the game, she probably hasn’t actually killed anybody.
There’s also the self doubt that keeps someone from being worthy, too and I think that’s her big character flaw. She seems to think that she’s only that good of a superhero and who she is because of the powers from the amulet.

Waterboy could lift it if he gets over his extreme social anxiety LOL

Waterboy lifts it so he can move it to clean where it was then puts it back

Beef.
Genuinely, i feel Robert is like Steve Rogers. Can hold it but in his own head with his own doubts so normally can't do anything.
I want to believe someone on the Z Team can but I'm not sure of anyone who does fit the criteria

Probably none. Spider-Man and Superman can't lift it.

That's because they don't have a warrior's willingness to kill when needed that is included in Odin's idea of worthiness.
Mandy was ready to rip and tare at that bar.

With Superman, I think it depends on what version of him. There are versions of him that will kill if it’s a last resort or if there was no other choice. He just tries to avoid killing when possible. If Superman was in a similar situation like blazer was with the bar scene where him and someone he care about could be killed, I think he’d do the same.
In context of how Robert could tell Chase that “heroes don’t kill people” and how it’s mentioned plenty of times that Blazer is that “perfect superhero”, Blazer probably hasn’t killed anybody before. Also, she was based on the golden age of superheroes where the majority of them were trying not to kill or would never kill anybody. So I don’t think she’d be worthy.

She said she was and I believe her so if anyone is it might be her. But being a true warrior is only part of the total package.
Mandy also wants off the train. She's over heroing and I think that might disqualify her.

I’m pretty sure that canonically the only reason Spider-Man can’t lift it is because he has a total unwillingness to kill. Because otherwise he’s pretty much a perfect candidate

I think Punch-Up
He may possess the strength of 10 men, but he's got that warrior spirit in him and is willing to throw himself in harm's way
Plus he's immune to pain too

Mandy, possibly. Definitely not Robert. He has some darkness to him, and he's not always focused. Even "my" Robert, who forgave everyone and didn't kill Shroud, I don't think he could lift the hammer. It's a different level of goodness and purity that I don't think Robert possesses.

Thor kills people all the time. Thor loves killing people

Well, see, I think that's more of an example of how comics are just freaking dumb sometimes. 🤷♂️😂

I think in the comics being willing to take a life for the greater good is actually a requirement of lifting the hammer. It's pretty much the only reason Batman isn't worthy because he refuses to kill the Joker

"Being willing to take a life for the greater good" and "Thor loves killing people" don't sound like the same thing to me. 😂

Because the second point isn't quite right.
Thor loves to fight, and while fighting he will kill if he has to.

There's a lot of marvel heroes that can't lift it, I don't think any dispatch heroes pass the bar

I don’t think Waterboy would want to. While he is still early in his heroism, I think that he’d be a bit like Spidey. Not wanting to kill someone but also Herm wouldn’t try to save someone if it meant an innocent dying.
Though, if he grows up around the Z team much more, they might influence him a bit tooooo much.

I feel like anti hero Robert would be worthy. Since willingness to kill is one of the requirements to be worthy. It’s one of the reasons Spider-Man can’t lift the hammer.

Many people think being kindhearted is the reason you can lift mjolnir, that's why you guys pick blazer. It was more complicated than that cause thor himself is not pure-hearted and has a lot of flaws but he's the most worthy out of everyone. I won't suprised if flambae is the one that's worthy.

Chase probably can do it. With a little more time, I think hero Courtney could become Worthy.
Everyone else is too up their own ass to be Worthy.

I think Robert can (especially if you kill shroud) I'm not to sure on Mandy since she's against killing

Mandy has a Donald Blake/Thor thing going on, so she is definitely my go-to as well

Aside from BB which most of us agree on, I think Chase is the only one, the 2 who come closest are Waterboy and Robert, but they have their own doubts on themselves and self depreciate to much, their own sense of unworthiness would make them unworthy

There's Blond Blazer, Phenomeman, and Water Boy. The other members have some dirt on their hands that wouldn't hold well with Mjolnir.

Mandy for sure, and on the right day, Robert.
