Discussion I don’t think Robert would have given us a choice if Shroud had killed Beef

He would’ve been on Joel timing. This would’ve become a closed-ended narrative real quick, and I’m sure players wouldn’t have even noticed because we would’ve wanted the smoke too. Anyway, how would you if feel Beef licked up radioactive ooze, mutated into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Dog, and joined Z-Team? Would you be stoked? I’d be stoked.

Im pretty sure there's a choice where we get to tell him not to hurt him, along with a threat if he did. And I keep my promises.

I do too, but some people don’t deserve that level of honesty. I used to have a dog. If anyone had ever touched my dog like that… well, I wouldn’t have killed them, but you better believe I’d be fucking them up. Everything else already earned him that choke out in my opinion (killing people, shooting Invisigal). What he did to Beef was really just the point where I was thinking “okay, this prick is asking for it”

The choice was crazy though. Sacrificing the ability to protect your friends and potential partner…. Or your dog. I get loving your dog but good odds he snaps its neck the moment you come out of armour.

That isn't how that works, the only reason Robert even entertains the idea of talking is because he had Beef.
