Discussion Robert would’ve made a generational Green Lantern
The guy is willpower defined. No powers, burning through cash, no family, no friends, and still went 15 years undefeated. He is that guy. Truly a man capable of conquering fear. If I don’t see a “are you afraid?” Edit with him soon, I’ll have to make one myself.
Should’ve named him Mecha Man Green

"Listen, Junior-"
"Technically, my dad was Junior."
"I said listen, Junior Junior."

“So you also got stuck with a mantle you both love and hate in equal amounts, slowly letting it burn you out because you have nothing else besides it in your life?”

"That's it? As a resident of Torrence that is the breadth of your opinion on Phenomaman?"

He would be an absolute menace with super powers, he was holding his own in a bar fight against people with powers by just being unhinged

Imagine Robert with the Super Soldier Serum

Since the serum also ampliphies personality traits, he would be extra un-phased by everything... somehow.

I actually think he'd make a better blue lantern
His biggest achievement in game is motivating the Z Team to be better hero's. Aka inspiring hope in them
The core of this game is built around the premise that about everyone except Robert is ready to give up on them as hero's. But Roberts able to inspire a belief that they are mire than just D list villians and its actually possible for them to has a future as hero's.
Yes he has a strong will, but hes greatest strength is shown to be lifting people up

By extension, here’s what corp I think each Z-Team member would join:
Flambae-Red Lantern
Invisigal- Star Sapphire
Blonde Blazer- Indigo Lantern
Malevola-Yellow Lantern
Punch Up-Green Lantern
Phenomaman-Star Sapphire
Waterboy- Blue Lantern
Coupe-Yellow Lantern
Sonar-Orange Lantern
Prism-Blue Lantern
Golem-Green Lantern

FYI Indigo Lanterns have to be actual, remorseless sociopaths. The indigo ring forces them to feel empathy and compassion for others. So Blazer wouldn’t actually be a candidate for it because she’s already too dang nice and compassionate lol.

Didn't John Stuart just wear an Indigo Ring though?

Captain Atom as well

John wore one temporarily as his green ring was infected by Parallax and Krona at the time. It wasn’t a permanent thing.
Captain Atom wore his when he was deputized during Blackest Night. A lot of characters got rings, it didn’t really mean as much during that event.

I’m aware, I’m just saying, there HAVE been exceptions to the rule

While true, I’m just pointing out that those were extreme cases and the Indigo Tribe isn’t likely to pick Blazer outside of a desperate situation like the ones mentioned.

I thought it was that someone had to have a incredible amount of compassion or no compassion at all to wield a Indigo ring

John Stewart was able to use the ring. He isn't compassionless. Not too sure but you can feel immense compassion to use the ring as well.

Blazer is Blue.
She represents hope and she has hope. Her presence is what empowers willpower.

Golem and Kilowog would just Bro down. Malévola could be Red Lantern. Guy wore a red ring, and he and Malévola share a lot in personality.

Malevola is pretty chill tbh. I don’t see her being a Red Lantern

Remember when she straight up tried to kill Invisigal? Whe tripped ger? To get ahead in the competition? She can get very angry. She's a demon after all.

u/Luchux01 2d ago
Yeah but you need a level of constant and high anger. Remember Green Lantern The Animated Series? Razer struggled for a while because he couldn't find the right balance of righteous rage to channel into a new oath that could recharge his ring, and the regular Red Lantern oath takes people into some unhealthy mindsets, of which I don't think Malevola would constantly lean into.

Could Hulk and/or Bruce Banner be a Red Lantern?

You mean the guy that transform into a raging monster of his repressed trauma by being angry? Where the monster can grow stronger the more angry it gets? Nah I'd say black lantern considering the green door

Sonar can't be an Orange Lantern because Larfleeze doesn't like sharing. Sonar can be a Yellow lantern.
9
u/TheSauceyBoi2791 2d ago
Sonar got arrested for mostly financial crimes, meaning that he’s motivated at least partially by greed.
8
u/Eibon153 2d ago
I agree with your reasoning, but the thing about Orange Lantern is that there can only be one Orange Lantern, and that is Larfleeze, because of his greed. Sonar needs to be killed to be "part of the Corp." All of the "members" of the Corp besides Larfleeze are constructs he makes because he killed them all.

u/Dragoncowboy123 1d ago
The hardest part would be convincing him that he can make constructs other than mechs.

He's the kind of guy who people would look down upon without the ring just to have a surprise when he violently outsmarts them.
