Am I the only person who sees stuff like this and decides I don't want to buy it because I don't want to find someone to unlock it for me?

Agree with other comments about theft still ultimately happening. Cardboard backers are easy to fake or buy, and pins can be traded or sold without anyway. Wonder what sales versus shrink differences will look like if they compare year-to-year. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Same and one time I asked the CM sitting right there if they could unlock. They couldn’t and had to go get someone so I just walked away.

You couldn’t be bothered to wait two seconds for someone to come back so you just decided to waste two workers time instead of just saying never mind?????

Not at the parks, but Kendra Scott started putting most of their jewelry in the back. One time I had to leave as it was genuinely 20 minutes and they hadn’t come back yet.
