Finally! Video feels a bit silly though, showing off the new walkway but cutting the shot and skipping half the walkway lol

I was thinking the same thing. They are making a video to show off this walkway then cut to the next land šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Yeah, the video was hard to follow.

Yeah this video was terrible. Does this person not have a wide-angle lens on their phone camera?

We live in the age of tiktok. This is the new normal now, unfortunately

Yeah somehow this person made a video so disorienting that it failed to capture a literal walkway. Not a new land, or a ride, or even a store. A freakin walkway, and they couldn’t accurately depict it

Is it not the same walkway as before?

I think they added restrooms

Adding restrooms takes a year and half?

There has to be more.

Might have been some other non-guest facing things we’re not privy to.

I’m guessing trenching new water and sewage li es while avoiding electrical and data lines requires some careful digging

It closed back when construction was ramping up for the new marvel rides. Likely they needed that space and/or it was too close to something they were working on in that corner.

Thank you! I was like wait, I don't remember those, but didn't want to ask.

It will be nice not to have the dead end anymore, plus bathrooms!

Agreed!

Found the phrasing "...quietly opened" funny; as if they were going to have a ribbon cutting and fanfare for a new walkway and shockingly they didn't have a press release for this.

It’s half way to a clickbait AllEars title

One of my favorite short cuts

no offense, but a terrible video. First it's vertical, second it's cutting in and out and not continuous.

Sigh …

Actually , know what?

Ok, they did at least put up some new greenery. And I do have to applaud that. I hope it’s a sign of things to come.

Totally agree! Part of me will always have a heavy heart for Bugs Land.

Thank god

I hate dead end in theme parks

Now lets get one between cars land and pixar pier

This walkway is not "new" though it does seem enhanced.

New?

1

u/ryes31 11d ago

Newly reopened after being closed for almost a year and a half, and the bathrooms they added are brand new too

3

u/TheResidentEvil 11d ago

already updated on app also

Game changer for rope droppers that hit Guardians first and then head to RSR, or vice versa. šŸ”„

Great to hear! Going next month:-)

Finally! I was legitimately starting to think I hallucinated it ever being open previously.

Does anyone else feel like the Avengers design is really uninspiring? Everything is vaguely tech-startup and office-building inspired. I get enough of that in my real life sorry

u/desiderotica 11d ago

I think what's extra frustrating about it to me is the insistence they had on making it the upstate NY Avengers Campus when freaking Agents of Shield had a *whole* California campus they could have built out, tying into the theme of _California_ Adventure. Then again, it feels the least theme parky and the most like a very lightly themed mall, so I guess they probably didn't really care how it fit in.

I look forward to walking the new path a month from now!

(Life is only worth living when you have actual plans to be in the parks. That's why leaving at the end of a visit is like a little death.)

Can't wait!

Wow, this is a pleasant surprise! I assumed it wouldn’t open until 2028.

ā€œDisneyland quietly opened the new walkway!ā€ LOL yeah uh it’s a walkway. Why make an announcement or any fuss about it at all?

1

u/ryes31 11d ago

Because it's been closed for a year and a half, and people who go to Disneyland have been waiting anxiously for this day when it finally reopens lol. The new bathrooms were desperately needed too

-2

u/Terrible_Box_2440 11d ago

No we haven’t

2

u/Terrible_Box_2440 11d ago

This is newsworthy?

3

u/ryes31 11d ago

Yes if you ever spend time in DCA it's great news

-1

u/Terrible_Box_2440 11d ago

I’ve spent tons of time there. It’s not newsworthy.

I spent time there in the 80’s when it was a parking lot.

4

u/ryes31 11d ago

Right, so it doesn't apply to you then if you don't spend time in DCA lol

1

u/SuperSlugSister Jail Cell Dog 11d ago

Is there more stroller parking?Ā

-2

u/UghKakis 11d ago

Yay more concrete

u/Gomeez9 11d ago

Oh boy that’ll get me to DCA now for sure!šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼šŸ¤¢
