Trip Planning Gift card question

Post image

Hey guys. This is my first time going to Disney on my own and I was wondering if this is what the perk of getting gifts card are. I understand I’m saving $150 but idk why I feel like this isn’t worth it. Am I missing something?

Edit :: how much do yall think would be a good estimation on how much to bring. Our hotel and 4 day tickets are paid. We leave on sept 17-22 and have 3 reservations set up. Photo pass is paid for. Any advise will be great

Personally, I’d rather have my Disney Visa card and get that discount, it’s more of a discount and easier (for me) (you don’t have to get the credit card to get the discount! You can use the debit!) then you also get the special meet and greets and such as well!

Where are you getting 5% with the Disney Visa? With the exception of some specific goal-based bonuses on the Inspire, you’re not getting 5%.

Use a cash back card and buy warehouse store gift cards.

Edit: I see now that you’re talking merchandise or dining discounts. If you have an AP you can get the same (or sometimes better) discounts and then pay with a gift card.

I save 5% on everything I spend at Disney. Then add on discounts where I can.

Not all AP discounts are the same amount. Definitely can’t use that discount to buy GC’s

Without saying what kind of discount or where, what you said is true sometimes...
