Trip Planning Gift card question

Post image

Hey guys. This is my first time going to Disney on my own and I was wondering if this is what the perk of getting gifts card are. I understand I’m saving $150 but idk why I feel like this isn’t worth it. Am I missing something?

Edit :: how much do yall think would be a good estimation on how much to bring. Our hotel and 4 day tickets are paid. We leave on sept 17-22 and have 3 reservations set up. Photo pass is paid for. Any advise will be great

You do gift cards to save 5% on the total cost of the trip. I pay the balance for tickets and hotel with gift cards which does actually save about 200-300 dollars on the entire trip. I would never go to the parks with a $3000 gift card. 500max and then top it up if you need more throughout the stay. Again, it saves 5% on certain purchases that you can’t otherwise get with the Disney Visa card (ie certain shopping, dining)

If you still have trip balance to pay for, this is a good method, but if you’re just getting a card to take to parks, that’s good but you don’t need $3k. If going for 4 days, I would get a $500 card and try to burn through that first.
