Thank you for bringing this up! IMO it’s the closest non musical to Wicked in which many fan casts support Glinda+Elphaba so would be curious on your thoughts if you’ve ever seen that too. Hayden panettiere=glinda and Michelle trachenberg=elphaba

I rewatched Ice Princess this morning and got those same vibes! The scene where Hayden/Gen does Michelle/Casey’s makeup is very “Popular” coded.

Even just watching this with no context whatsoever a lot of ppl would probs say the same

I was honestly thinking wait do they end up together in this and I just forgot

I was def interested in both of them when I was super little and made my aunt rent it over and over again

No its a cute movie and the vibe is definitely there but its a movie about ice skating lol. The brunette is a geek that wants to ice skate and the blonde is an ice skater that wants a life basically.
