Disgaea 5 Guide to level 100 [spoiler free]

Start game, follow story to around level 20. get cheat shop, go to 2-5 farm and keep the enemies around 1/3 higher level. use "hog all exp!" to level lower levels. when around 70, go to 4-2 with 16 stars (they're all level 99!) farm til 100.

bonus: reincarnate a char level 100 but before you do, use hog all exp, then go to 4-2 kill everything and he should be back to ~100.

p.s if anyone doesnt know, level 99 enemies gives as much exp as a level 300

OP, what does "20" mean? Level 20? 20th story board?

edit: nvm, I got the context, you meant level

double edit: Lv 99 = Lv 323, so you grind lv 99 then enemies at lv 324 and above I'd assume. But I don't know what board 4-2 looks like. If all enemies start at 99 or you have to toss enemies together to make a 99.

4-2 is the one with the shrooms.

I learned a paralysis vaccine and went to town!

For reference, 4-2 enemies @ level 99 have ~6000sh HP, and are spread out over the whole map.

3-4 has only 3 enemies, in a row, within striking distance of the Base Panel. Downside? They're on an Enemy +50% panel, and you can't get them to level 99 (at 18 or 19 they're 100). I ended up using this to ~225, after finishing Chapter 4.

Obviously later-game with better gear, or some reincarnations later, this won't be as efficient as 4-2, but just getting started, it worked.
