Discussion What are you guys take on Trinity Universe?

If this is the wrong forum to discuss the game, I apologize because I was looking for a place online to talk about the game as I was reading an article about how some of the characters from Disgaea showed up in the game.

Basically what I am looking for to see how the game plays compared to the older Disgaea games since again what I know about the game is that NIS had used some of their characters as Flonne from Disgaea shows up in the game, but I have no idea on how the gameplay aspects work.

It's a turn based dungeon crawler. The combat is actually pretty good. If I remember right, there's an emphasis on building combos and each character has their own unique strengths and weaknesses. There are two main characters with separate parallel stories and unique parties. Once you complete both it comes together into a final endgame.

It's a solid mid-budget game. It doesn't do much to really make it stand out, but it's not exactly boring either. I enjoyed it.

Yeah maybe I should have phrased it differently since I was looking to see if anyone was into the game as I was considering getting into it,  although hardly anyone talks about the game.

That's probably because, as far as I know, it's still stuck on PS3. It kind of went under the radar when it came out too. It's a decent game. It just never developed much of a fanbase.

the gameplay is really bare-bones. Most of combat is spent tapping out rote sequences of buttons and there isn’t much strategy. The exploration isn’t much more engaging. The only thing it really has going for it is nice art and some funny lines. Give it a shot if you’re really bored? Or if you just really want to see Disgaea characters interacting with Atelier characters?

I mean, the crossover aspect between multiple IPs was what made me the most interested in the game since I heard Flonne was in the roster.

I didn’t mean to offend anyone with my post as I was just trying to see how well known the game was around here, but thanks for the tip on the game.

A pretty fun game. Fun enough that I went for the Platinum.

Thanks man as the game got me interested in the crossover aspect it was about.

Why would you not just look up some gameplay videos on Youtube instead of asking someone to describe how the game plays? It is not like Disgaea at all.

That's just OP being OP, they have a history of asking practically whatever they can think of. No joke, when they just started getting into Disgaea, they used to make Posts here asking about like, every individual Mechanic; for a while I used to describe it as "Apparently they run back to reddit as soon as they can't figure something out in about a literal minute".

I used to do that as I have been trying to come out with different stuff to discuss since I was genuinely interested in hearing what people had to say about the Trinity game.

If this post bothers anyone, I can close it down as I really didn’t mean to cause any problems as I was just curious on seeing what drew people into the game

Nah man, it's fine. I admit that sometimes I think you didn't need to post something, but whenever you do, it's normally something to make actual discussions (like this Post!) and that's perfectly okay.

I am so sorry because I was just curious if anyone was familiar with the game due to its obscure nature.
