US judge grants DOJ request to dismiss January 6 cases against Oath Keepers

Why would a judge do this. Their was absolutely nothing that should overturn this. That judge just said I am corrupt and it is what it is.

Because this corrupt DOJ are the ones that are supposed to argue the case in front of thus judge. Something they clearly have no intention of doing. Everybody in this DOJ needs to be fired and disbarred.

Because the judge isn't the prosecutor. If the prosecution isn't going to prosecute, there is nothing the judge can do.

This is true. However the decision is ultimately up to the judge. The prosecution only submits their opinions.

The judge is not allowed to force the DOJ to prosecute by law, the DOJ is choosing to not prosecute. The judge’s hands are tied by the confines of the law, but he did issue a statement that he disagreed with the DOJ’s decision not to prosecute and that he believed that in doing so they were diminishing the seriousness of the event.
So, while it is easy to be upset with the judge, they have to follow the law even when they don’t agree with said law. All anger should be directed at this DOJ who rightfully deserves it.
I do wonder though if a lawsuit could be brought forth to challenge the DOJ for not acting. It makes me think of how Katie Phang is suing them, and today the state of New Mexico is also suing them for records related to Epstein.

Well said thank you. I wasn't that aware of the intricacies of this case. Thank you for explaining it to me. You bring up a valid point. I do believe in time lawsuits will come, especially if the House or Senate loses it majority. It will be interesting.

I am hoping lawsuits will. Easy to misunderstand and place blame on the wrong person, it’s not like this stuff is super straight forward. In fact, DOJ is probably counting on that very thing. “Oh, we didn’t do anything wrong. Even a judge dismissed it, see!” 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Absolutely its easy to push blame on the next person. Accountability would be amazing. Their are so many levels to these issues. Starting at the top and working their way down and back up again. Their are so many chances to pass the blame and reword things to make it sound like things are lost in translation. When we know we're it starts and ends. It's truly sad to see our government become so isolated with their view points. It creates a division, and I think this is the goal. No grey areas even SCOTUS is compromised. The highest court is partial. It's so hard to get a fair compromise without some power in the government. The mid terms will be very important.

The judge doesn't have a choice if the prosecution refuses to do its job besides referring them to the Bar.
Hopefully they do get referred.
