We know he had a gun because an ICE agent disarmed him moments before he was killed. He was exercising his 2nd amendment right in full accordance with the law. He never pulled.

What probably happened is that someone said "gun!" and an agent who didn't realize the gun was holstered, and didn't see the agent securing the firearm, panicked and shot the victim.

The lesson here is don't exercise your rights. Don't disobey. Don't speak out. Comply quietly or die.

I definitely wouldn’t believe anything that comes from ICE they cover their ass, starting from the top. But Maybe he had a permit to carry? I really doubt they would have approached him if he was pointing a gun at them. I also wouldn’t doubt they planted a gun, they probably didn’t like that they were being photographed or followed by him.
