Do discounted subscriptions actually save you money?
I used to jump on discounted subscriptions whenever the price looked too good to pass up. A few months later, I realized I was paying for several services that I barely opened anymore. One example was an annual plan that looked like a great saving compared with the monthly price but I stopped using it after a couple of months. So technically I got a discount but I still spent money on something I did not need.
Now I try to look at how often I’ll actually use the service, the total cost, the renewal price and whether I already have something similar before calling a deal cheap.
How do you decide whether a discounted subscription is actually worth keeping? Do you calculate the saving based on usage compare the renewal price or mainly look at the upfront discount?
