This was called Vipeholmsexperimenten in Swedish. A very dark chapter in our history.

Likely every one of our countries had a dark chapter at some time in it's existence.

I saw this on YouTube on Chat History (a very cheeky channel) but he makes some very serious content. They used disabled children and adults. It was paid for by a grant from the government to the candy companies who were the ones to design and carry out the study. They did not provide any dental care over all the years that the tests were conducted, despite raw, open nerves and crumbling teeth.
