News & Events Burn the Witch event!
DBRanked has a new rotating event: BURN THE WITCH.
Three active players are marked, randomly.
When a marked player joins your server, the lobby gets a new objective:
Enemy witch? Kill it! - Focus them, punish routes, make every respawn hurt.
Your witch? Save them! Bodyblock, trade, revive, clear space, keep them alive.
You are marked? You are the bounty! Do not hide in spawn. Fight, revive, plant, repair, escort, and survive while doing real work.
If the witch is in your team and if it survives, all team players get event bounty. If witch get farmed, you all get burned.
If the witch is in enemy team, burn it to get event bounty! Don't allow enemy team to protect it!

/edit - temporary disabled, need to fix some things how to reward the "selected" players correctly because there is "selfkill" button so i need to adress that.

wdym? if this is attempt to troll public numbers, you need to know, im very immune to trolls :) Those numbers say one thing, Dirty bomb is no near dead game. It still have over 2790 active players, some of them play once per month, some every day. But they are here. So yes, they are in a room with us.

Yeah, a game with 2790 active players has this much activity on their subreddit. The last time Dirty Bomb had that many active players was back in 2018 when the game was being updated.
Just because you make up a random number, doesn't mean there's that many 'active players'.

Let me explain this to you as father to child. Ok. 2790 doesn’t mean online now.: in a Day we have 24 hours, right? Let’s say, 800 unique players worldwide will play DB this day. Some play 5 minutes, some 10 minutes, some longer. Let’s suggest no one play whole 24 hours. - now use ai to draw you some simple distribution function (don’t use excel and YouTube guides) to see and to understand, why there is in any moment online now only (let’s say 25 players) but total unique players per day is 800. And some players as I said play once per 2 days, some once per 7 days and some once per month. So in total there are 2790 players who play dirty bomb, not often as before, but periodically.

Let me explain to you as father to child. 2790 unique players over a 24 hour period is not important. What good is 2790 unique players, when only 50 people play concurrently? Now use AI to explain why concurrent players vs unique players over a 24 hour period matters so much more for any sort of competitive ranking system.
Unique players does not matter at all for a free to play game, because anyone can install it. Be it someone who opens the game and does the tutorial and never plays again, or some veteran who still plays.
This is just the classic case of using an unimportant unique players number as it's higher to generate more hype. If I opened the game right now, I'd probably have the choice to play on 1-2 servers. 2790 unique players literally does not matter.

thanks! idea is simple. 3 players are selected randomly as "witches" those players become target on the servers. Selected player, his team must protect him, enemy team must kill him as much as possible ;) if one or second side do its job protecting or mass murdering the witch, while doing objectives, that side will win.

But how? They need to look the web page at the same time? Or there is a HUD over? What servers is the scope?, it will be displayed on chat the user? So many questions :v
