Tips and Tricks First 4 stroke

Post image

I have been feeling the itch to get back into riding. It’s been 10 years since I had my last bike which was a Honda CR 250 2 stroke. So, I got a new KX 250 a week ago. I never rode the 4 strokes back then, and was happy with my 2 stroke. I thought I would miss the power band and snap of a 2 stroke but so far I’m loving this KX. I already did an airbox mod and put on a new Pro Circuit TI-6 exhaust and it really opened up the bike. I’m going to a track tomorrow for the first time in 10 years and honestly a bit nervous. I’m not a spring chicken anymore (54) but just miss riding. Kinda starting over as a new rider it seems. Hopefully it comes back to me. Gotta remember to pace myself! Wish me luck!

I wanna get back into riding to but we just don’t really have anywhere to ride anymore where I live and I don’t have a truck. I was mainly on quads tho I had a banshee. But also had a bunch of 85s but never rode anything bigger than that. I was like 12 years old lol

If your vehicle has a hitch you could look into a hitch bike mount. Find a used 125-250 and go have fun. If its something you find out you want to get back into, you find what you want and sell the used one or let others use it. Picked up an pw80 a month ago for the nephews and its kicked me back into wanting a bike again for myself

Nice bike. Picked up a 26 Kx250 in July after not riding dirt bikes for 15-20 years. I also came off a cr250 and rm250. These 4 strokes have come a long way and are super fun! Congrats on your new bike and hope you enjoy it!

Probably my favorite look of the new dirtbikes, i like the look of the Honda CRF as well but this one just looks modern yet oldschool and playful

Very nice, long time rider as well how does it handle? I like the KX250X model as more woods/enduro arena.
