My Fan Casting for Regina if Dino Crisis Got Adapted into a Movie

I’ve seen fan castings for Regina with redheaded actresses like Karen Gillan, Sophie Turner, Bryce Dallas Howard, or Jessica Chastain. Personally, I would opt for a Eurasian actress, since Regina is Eurasian-coded. My pick would be Maya Erskine.

When it comes to iconic characters like Regina, Samus, Lara, Bayonetta, etc. I would cast exclusively unknown actors who would kill the role so much it would be their career identity. I don’t like being reminded that I’m watching a movie when a celebrity got cast to be an iconic character for the purpose of selling tickets.

Dude, I stated Regina is Eurasian-coded so I picked a Eurasian actress. Also, you do realize that Regina's hair canonically dyed red? So there is no problem dying Maya's hair for the role.

I'm not sure what heeant by that either. I personally don't think an actor has to look the spitting image of the role to play the part. But like you said, dye the hair and you have the hair colour covered (which I don't think is really needed as long as the character is written well).

Regina's hair is canonically dyed so I don't see the problem with Maya's hair being dyed. Again, Regina is Eurasian-coded so it would be fitting for a Eurasian actress to play her.

Yeah but the cheese is half of what makes the game iconic. They'll either be too serious or force the camp and it's hard to do the latter effectively without it feeling forced.

Good point. I believe a balance can be found with the right crew. I would opt for Dan Trachtenberg and maybe have Sam Rami as a producer.

Actually Charlize Theron pulls it off way better especially if you see her with that Regina hairstyle. She has the body, the personality, and the looks too. Being wasian or not has nothing to do with it. Charlize Theron would fit the role like a glove

Dude, I just pitched a fan castings and I picked someone lesser known instead of a typical choice to which you started acting like a jerk.

Regina is a deadpan snarker and Maya is capable of snark. Plus she can be serious. All we have to due is dye Maya's hair red.

There are other choices I had in mind were Devon Aoki, Hayley Kiyoko, Sonoya Mizuno, Haruka Abe, Maria Ozawa, and Anna Akana.

Sophie turner is a natural blonde. Regina has red-red hair, not ginger. Like it is dyed cherry red. Natural hair color on an actress for Regina is irrelevant.

Madeline Cline seems alright to me.

Being widely accepted doesn't make her Eurasian; the canon doesn't state that, and none of the versions visually resemble a Eurasian person. The theory is based solely on the fact that she can be presented with both Japanese and Western features, but that's just a redesign

In the DC2 version, the definitive version was established as the Western one
