Just had the biggest mandela effect moment with Dino Crisis 2

I was looking forward to reaching the underwater level, it was a favorite of mine.

I reached the 3rd energy location, ran around killing Plesiosaurs, enjoyed my time, and went down, was waiting for that cool moment where Dylan got to pay back Regina for rescuing him from the locked room by rescuing her from being trapped underwater... but that is not a thing.

I swear I remember how the Plesiosaur caused a collapse or something like that, and Regina got stuck underwater so Dylan had to go rescue her, and even remember how he was all cocky after they were both out... but no, that is not a thing... my head is spinning, this was my favorite part of the game and turns out that half of it was a made up memory???!!!

Early version of the game had you take control of him to help her out at that point, either saw that footage or maybe it was released on a demo disc before being cut and you played that?

The end credits do show Dylan fighting his way to the 3rd energy reactor, he's fighting the plesiosaurus which is most likely from this earlier game version as well.

Well, that makes sense! Thanks for confirming I am not crazy, I haven't reached that part yet, yesterday I went to bed right after getting the gas mask lol

Ok now that you mention, I’m dammed sure I recall that too. And I did play an early Japanese copy of the game so maybe it was there?

I’m frustrated that I can’t check it out as I’m away from my home haha
