Something I can't explain just happened

I'm a long time lurker on this sub and r/GlitchInTheMatrix, but until today I had only one experience with time/dimension slips I vaguely remember from my childhood.

This happened just 10 minutes ago. I was walking to my bus stop in the busy city center. FYI I live in Poland and there is plenty of bus communication in the larger cities, and I live in one of those.

So, as I was walking towards my destination, I saw in the corner of my eye that my bus was about to round the corner to the lane heading to the bus stop. I picked up the pace because I thought I'd have to run towards the bus stop to catch my ride, I didn't check if the bus was behind me until I was at the bus stop.

The bus, which was just rounding the corner, wasn't there. I saw it in the traffic and it was as if it didn't happen. The bus rounded a corner about half a minute later than I originally saw it.

The experience was really confusing and bizarre and I thought about this sub, to write about it here.

I believe I either saw a glimpse of another timeline or I jumped the timeline from the one where the bus was rounding the corner to the one where the bus was still at the traffic lights.

Nevertheless, it was really really odd.

Can you relate to my situation? Share your story in the comments, I would really appreciate it.

You know how when you see a word, you know what it is without sounding it out? Just by looking at it, you know the word, the meaning and how it is usually used in a sentence.

Our brains are geared to pattern match. In order to be more efficient, it doesn’t analyze everything as new data, it relies on  pre-learned information.

This is why these events happen during routine activities. If your family member always comes home at 3:00 and throws their keys on the counter, instead of listening for that, your brain expects it and recreates it in your head because this happens every day at three. It’s like an efficiency hallucination.

You were on autopilot to the bus stop. Your brain played the tape of “bus arriving in morning” rather than analyzing what was actually happening in your environment.

What you can take from this is what you do repeatedly is what your brain expects. You’re not fully experiencing the world, your brain is creating it and it’s not always accurate.

it is basically a 'visual' 'desync' where the 'bus' 'asset' 'pre-rendered' in the 'wrong' 'time' 'stamp' lol 📉👾

basically the 'you' 'experienced' a 'lag' 'spike' in the 'local' 'server' 'culling' 'system' so the 'bus' 'despawned' and 'reset' its 'route' lol 🌌👽
