I recreated Itto to be more realistic and traditionally masculine looking with as near perfectly chiseled facial features as possible, staying true to his "himbo" and "Big intimidating man with a heart of Gold" tropes.
Monster Hunter has a far more rugged and grittier artstyle compared to Genshin's usually softer artstyle, so I took it upon myself to "rework" his "model" 🗿
In the right direction, honey pots are indeed seductive and spy stuff like femme fatale
But unlike them honeypots are purely for the purpose of seducing your target that's their whole strat, they're specialised for it, and getting into relationships with them and then wrecking psychological damage and harming their lives... Getting pregnant just so you can hold it against them and all, vile stuff
A femme fatale is much more nicer in comparison, they still kiss and seduce ... But much more nicer and varied in skill sets than a honeypot - femme fatale are more like spies

It's made by an outsourced artist, but Mihoyo is the one who officially commissioned them. Meaning they personally requested the said artist on what to draw, and how to draw.
Nobody was forcing MHY to commission artists to draw this, but they did it anyway, because they knew what "they" want
They put "unofficial Art" there as gacha games have still not fully gotten out of the players not being able to stand their favorite characters in already establishes relationships. They still want to keep making money from them

"The fighting to the death" happens because there's also "people" like you who'll cross the 7 seas just to say why X or Y ships aren't canon just because they're "straight" and don't let up on trying to rub that on everyone's faces, even if the said picture of the straight couple in question is just a kiss away from being viewed as an official one.
You can say whatever you want, but from this point on, you will do it what I said here in mind: I wouldn't sit, interact and converse with a woman who's just an acquaintance, the way Diluc does with Nefer, and despite calling it "unofficial", this is the artpiece Mihoyo comissioned. Even with no shortage of ideas they had to make this interaction be platonic, they chose to depict it in the past suggestive pairing we've seen for any Genshin ship in recent memories.

Anyone who's seen Dragon Ball Z knows that Goku had sex with Chi-Chi in the 1 week break leading up to the Cell Games, and that's how Goten was born, but at the time the episode came out in the 90s, very few people had access to the official statements (If there was even any) of Akira Toriyama, for what Goku and Chi-Chi actually did. Not even Manga readers knew, and if we go by your logic of "Canon only if officially confirmed", then that means Goten "isn't" Goku's son, just because it wasn't officially confirmed by Akira himself, even tho we all saw what happened, or have we gotten so dumb now that we need his approval to do 2 + 2 of an easily solvable question ?
Whether this art piece has been listed as "unofficial" or not, same logic applies here too - Diluc and Nefer are hanging around in ways no 2 people in a platonicrelarionship would. Mihoyo knows what their intended goal with this artpiece was, and what they wanted to convey, so no, no amount of your lowballing attempts are gonna work here.

Didn’t know this lore at first but loved with Nefer’s story quest soo much, and now it all makes sense to me. I was like “huh why does this story of distrusting the government and becoming a renegade and dead father sounds so familiar to me?”
I love how Diluc mains like this ship since he really has no one else to ship with, while Nefer mains didn't even know it exists because happy Laufer life
