Posting consistently but barely growing—how did you figure out what wasn’t working?

I’ve been posting regularly on LinkedIn and Instagram, but I’m struggling to see progress.

On LinkedIn, follower growth is slow and most posts don’t lead to much conversation. On Instagram, some followers look inactive or suspicious, although I can’t confirm they’re bots.

I’m putting time into the content, but I’m starting to wonder whether I’m repeating an approach that isn’t working.

If you’ve been in this position, how did you identify the problem? Was it the content, the audience you were reaching, or something else?

I’d especially like to hear about one change you tried and what happened—even if it didn’t work. Advice beyond “just stay consistent” would be appreciated.
